Absolutely loved our stay at Cielo. We booked the Suite Simple Deluxe room with private pool which was perfect, pool was absolutely needed in the afternoons! Staff were super friendly, and helpful. Rooms were so spacious and the air con worked really well. Loved that there was a turndown service. Breakfast was always quick and tasty, and we liked that we were in walking distance to the Fisherman's Village. Also highly recommend Izzy's coffee just down the road. Also best massage I had on the trip there! Nothing! Would definitely visit again.

It was absolutely beautiful and clean ? The mattress was not comfortable

The villa was spectacular. We were looking for more of a resort environment thought that is our only complaint. Like with a common area to socialize

Beautiful property with lovely décor and stunning gardens. The walk to the pool feels like stepping into a magical oasis, surrounded by lush tropical plants. The location is excellent, with beautiful poolside views and easy walking access to Fisherman’s Village. The hotel arranged scooter delivery for us, which was incredibly convenient. The staff were exceptional throughout our stay. Breakfast was delicious, and the dining area beside the pool offers amazing views across the water toward Ko Pha Ngan. A talented acoustic musician performed in the evenings, creating a wonderful atmosphere. Overall, a fantastic stay that we would highly recommend. Understanding that this is Thailand and that some outdoor furnishings can be difficult to keep looking new in the tropical climate, we noticed what appeared to be sunscreen stains on the room chair and the pool loungers. However, the bed linens and towels were pristine, which is what mattered most to us. This was the only reason we did not give top marks in every category. Overall, it's a wonderful place to stay, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

The pool and lounge area were terrific, a lot of variety at the hotel’s restaurant. The staff were all very friendly, and they cleaned our room twice a day which was significant given we went to the beach a lot. Location - near a really good and simple Thai restaurant and a specialty coffee. The stream in the shower is weak. Not a deal breaker but still a nuisance. The location is 15 minutes from the walking street / fisherman’s village and the walk there isn’t really comfortable with a stroller. The prices for the restaurants were about 4x more expensive than any restaurant within walking distance. There are Muay Thai classes every afternoon Monday - Friday which can cause a bit of noise, didn’t bother us too much.

Quiet boutique hotel with a large bedroom , comfy bed. Lovely view, great restaurant and friendly and helpful people always ready to help and answer your questions. Also great location near the fisherman market. Small swimming pool and smell of chlorine used to clean the floor around the property.

A well appointed boutique hotel right on the waterfront. The layout was lovely with the dining area, infinity pool and guest lounging area - all on the beachfront. Since the number of guests was limited, it was easy to get deck chairs without having to wake up early in order to snag one. The service staff were warm and friendly. Breakast was made to order and quite adequate. The rooms were very large (with some wasted space). Transport from/to airport was pre arranged with the hotel so that wowrked out well. We had lunch and dinner at this place and both were quite nice. There were a few small irritants that can be easily fixed. 1. While there was shampoo, there was no conditioner! Anyone would know that after a dip in the ocean, hair tends to get frizzy so it is even more important for a beachside resort to provide a conditioner along with the shampoo. 2. the soap kept near the hand basin was way too tiny; barely lasted for half a day. This should have been replaced every morning or replace the tiny soap bars with a soap dispenser. There were some other issues that I am not sure can be fixed easily (1). the entrance to the room is on one end while the key receptacle (to turn on the lights ) is at the other end of the room! As a result, one has to stumble in the dark to open the door, enter a dark room, walk across the darkness to insert the key in the receptacle to turn on the lights! Poor design. (2) Hard to close the door and lock it because the thick curtains kept getting in the way! (3) the tap in the sink was so close to the rim of the sink - difficult to wash one's hands without pushing it against the sink. (4). There are no doors between the sleeping area and the shower area. This was a big concern for my daughter as she was sharing her room with a male cousin and she felt very uncomfortable taking a shower while he was in the room so he had to go out when she wanted to shower and vice versa.

Great location and situated on the beach so both pool & beach access. Fab boutique hotel, we stayed over Christmas during our honeymoon, staff are very welcoming and the room was ready when we arrived which always makes a huge difference. Sadly rained on our last day but not the fault of the hotel! We went out for lunch but had hoped to use the facilities

Beautifully designed small boutique hotel, quiet and well maintained. Love the pathway to the room and pool/restaurant, feeling like we’re walking through a rain forest, talking about tranquility! The room we booked was Simple Suite and it was spacious with a small outdoor pool. I really loved that the hotel provides free yoga, pilates and mui tai classes, which I enjoyed it very much. House keepers came twice a day and made our room so clean and tidy. I didn’t know I wasn’t allowed to bring outside drink to sit by the pool area and was told off by one of the staff at the restaurant. The pool area was quite empty that day and my iced coffee with oat milk was already half finished. Since the restaurant does not provide oat milk as milk alternative, I find it a bit unreasonable to be told not allowed. Breakfast was okay, would be nice to have more Thai options like noodle soup. There is no hair conditioner or slippers provided in the room. I did not enjoy walking bare feet on cold stone. Perhaps it’s one of the charms, however not my personal preference. The sink placement seems a bit off. Every time I used it, the water seemed to run over the sink and resulted in dripping down the floor. Also, sometimes the water from the tap smells but it goes away after running it for maybe a minute or 2. We were celebrating our anniversary for this trip and I left a comment while asking to extend for one extra night, plus a message through booking.com. However, there wasn’t anything special provided by the hotel. Small disappointment, but overall we enjoyed our trip. :)

This place is special. Decor amazing, pool heaven, staff very friendly and accommodating, spa is next level and worth every cent. Any complaints would just be nitpicking.

  • Engine customer Apr 2025

The hotel is a small hotel with around 16 to 20 rooms that vary in size. The rooms are very large and the property is very clean. The pool, bar and restaurant overlook the beach and it is like a small paradise. Staff are very polite and attentive. I had lunch at the property once and it was tasty along with their delicious smoothies. It is close to cash points, a 7/11, other cafes and is about 300 bhat in a taxi to fisherman’s village. No reception area to sit. Shower room when checked out was very hot with no toilet or sink.

Amazing place - small, boutique hotel - only 11 rooms - very private. Excellent pool, bar, restaurant area. Breakfast in the restaurant is served and very enjoyable. Location is very quiet and a 15 minute walk to Fishermans Village.

Pure paradise! Everything from the huge villa, amazing spa, quiet beach and best restaurant ever! Special thanks to Wut, Bia & Tilly from the restaurant for always treating us with a smile on their face (and we were there a lot!) and to Kaung and Mat from reception that took care of everything for us. We can’t wait to come back next year!
