Very different, quite modern & stylish, lots of young people & families! Really good breakfast!

The first time we had a fantastic corner family room The second time, for the same price, we landed in a tighter family room with two double beds. The equivalence of price was not justified.

Nice bed The WhatsApp AI replies fast and accurate Friendly staff if you ask them something Overall it was a pleasant experience Small pillows No chair in the room Size of the room was great for one person The staff was nice but the info they gave was quite minimal - I had to ask them for few things (example how the lights work cause their system was a bit particular)

Room was nice and perfect for a family of 2 adults and 2 kids. Facilities were of a good standard and rooms very clean etc. Has an ok resturant / bar on the roof. Would say good liked better in the street food market just outside the hotel. The area is interesting and has some cool things going on. Would seem it’s had some recent rejuvenating work done and new build flats etc. But is a fair walk from the old town central area. Location was very difficult if you are arriving with a car over a certain size. We have a roof box on our car and had to carry all our bags 300 meters as we couldn’t fit our car in the public underground parking facilities. And there is no way to pull up close to the hotel. I also had concerns about the safety of windows in the rooms. We were 6 floors up and the windows opened up fully and would be very easy for younger children to climb up to lean over and fall. Would say it’s designed more for younger back backing guests.

Great, hotel, great location. Nice big room, bed and bath were awesome! In the mornings the noise from railway can be a bit of an early wake up unfortunately!

Le bruit des trains dérange et empêche de bien dormir. Il faut beaucoup plus d’isolation sonore.

Amazing location. Fabulous rooftop pool. Staff were all really helpful. Excellent hotel. Room was perfect - huge tv, wonderful air conditioning - fantastic. Nothing, everything was perfect

Friendly staff especially at reception Comfortable bed Compact room Great Shower We had an evening meal there and it was lovely. Large food hall next door also a plus Had to ask for fresh towels at reception but it was never an issue other than we had a load in the room when we left

The room was clean. Good location for access to the train station. Air conditioning was broken in the room. We were assured that a technician was coming to fix it however nobody came, this made sleeping uncomfortable. The pool area is small and not like the photos. There’s no loungers, only a few seats and tables. The pool bar is only open in the evening which is a shame. Some people on reception were not very welcoming.

Absolutely stunning hotel close to the main train station of Bordeaux. Central enough to be convenient, but in a quiet residential quarter than ensures a good night's sleep. Jost is more than just a hotel, hosting a ground floor restaurant for breakfast with an outdoor terrace, an incredible rooftop bar and pool and a cocktail bar. The rooms are modern, comfortable and impeccable clean. The hotel also runs a fun "guest of the day" prize. Not to mention the incredible value for money for a hotel of this calibre. We started our stay on the rooftop bar where the attentive waiters served mouth watering antipasti and very reasonably priced and delicious cocktails. The next morning, after a comfort and quiet sleep we headed downstairs for a breakfast buffwt with an incredible range (they even had smashed avocado!), and matched with attentive staff ensuring our every need was met. This is our third stay at Jost, and it has truly become our home away from home in central Bordeaux. I cannot recommend staying here enough. I couldn't stay longer

The location was ok, close to the train station so getting around was easy. Breakfast was really good and they had bigger/thicker pillows when I requested one which was great. It's a hostel, and should have that in the name. The rooftop pool is quite small, if you are going in Summer, expect to be with 10+ other guests on a warm day. We arrived on Fête de la Musique and got no heads up from the hotel that there was a DJ booth being setup directly outside the hotel/on the side of our rooms when we checked in (we saw them setting up on arrival). We asked when the music might finish just so we knew what we were in for and the man at reception just shrugged. Appreciate it's a tradition, but letting your guests know techno will be blaring until 2AM i'd consider decent customer service I guess. The aircon in my room would stop and start and there was a shared iron for the entire floor. Not trying to be picky, if you know it's a hostel it's fine, if you don't know, it's a fun start to your holiday.
