The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the rooms had great character, the location was fantastic, and there was tons of variety at breakfast. My only complaint (a minor one) is that the property was listed as providing toiletries, but there was no shampoo or conditioner. I would have packed that had I known.

The breakfast was not great. I was happy to have hard boiled eggs, white toast, and tea. I didn’t leave hungry, but it wasn’t that tasty. The young man in reception was nice enough, and his English was good. But come of the reviews led me to believe that the staff was super friendly and helpful, and felt like family. That was not the case.

location, helpful staff and manager, large room. breakfast could be better.

What stood out the most was the warm hospitality. The staff were consistently kind and attentive, and Bibi Khanym herself—the owner—was exceptionally polite, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything I needed. Her genuine care made me feel right at home, even though I was traveling alone. For the price, it was absolutely perfect—comfortable, well-located, and filled with character. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Bukhara. I would definitely stay here again!

The only downside is the shower, it’s a bit small and dated.

Really really nice staff. Room was clean and comfortable I was in the new part of the hotel so it felt unfinished. It was also incredibly noisy

The location. The breakfast was good. It could do with better maintenance and some improvements to the room.

The best I can say about this property is its location, tucked into a quiet lane off the main square. This property is overly hyped up and rated on Booking.com and other sites. It calls itself a boutique hotel as does every second hotel in Bukhara but it is anything but that. The biggest issue was that at check out they refused to accept a credit card for payment stating they only accept cash. There was no indication of this either in my reservation, on the booking.com site or at checkin. A big drama was enacted at checkout. Ultimately, they had me walk to a travel agency to pay with my credit card. Booking.com has total responsibility for this issue. Secondly, wifi did not work in the room durig the entire 3 days I was there. The hotel attracts mainly large groups of senior citizens who stay for just a night and do not care about wifi or other issues that I am highlighting here. I am a travel writer and need reliable and fast wifi. Thirdly, the hotel is quite shabby and could easily be spruced up. Next, the bath tub is a hazard waiting to happen. It is quite high, there is nothing to hold on to while getting in and out and it is very slippery after the shower. Next, the bed was very soft and very uncomfortable for me. Nxt, in this part of the world there is a penchant for using white lights in hotels which gives the appearance of a hospital and is very annoying. Lastly, the breakfast was pathetic even by the low local standards. Also, I had asked for transfer from the train station and that was not provided. It is difficult to be so critical when the staff is so polite, but they are generally naive and do not have the power to do much themselves. Bukhara is a big tourist town but has a major hotel problem. There are swarms of tourists mainly in groups who hog up most of the rooms for a night or so. There are no 3 / 4 star quality hotels anywhere. See above. Many issues.

Spotless room with great breakfast in a great part of time. The breakfast was great. The room was small, but well organised. And great location with lots of great restaurants nearby & a great massage parlour.

I loved the location of this hotel and the staff, especially Rahmat and Akbar. They were so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful This is not an inexpensive place so I think the owners should spend some money in the upkeep and modernizing the facility by providing basic upgrades like a phone in the room, giving more than 1 bottle of water per guest per day and making repairs in the bathrooms. Also, the breakfast could be improved by providing guests the option to custom order eggs. This is not a hotel for guests who can't walk up stairs and the railing going upstairs needs to be improved.
