Great hotel! Clean, helpful staff, AC, comfortable beds, and a central location that made it easy to walk around. Highly recommend this brand of hotels!

Great hotel, perfect location. Comfortable beds!

The air conditioning was so bad … and I didn’t sleep so I’ve checked out early because of the air conditioning …

Room was comfortable. Hotel is well situated. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The window in my room was a bit small - but no big deal. The provided hair dryer was very weak sauce.

We loved the staffs. Very friendly and helpful and polite With warm welcoming smiles The rooms price is little on the high end

The staff made it. They were very professional, friendly and helpful.

Staff was friendly, personable bartenders and willing to help those of us who could not speak French very well. Conveniently located and several restaurants within walking distance. Also there is a parking garage.

Very comfortable and spacy rooms; great location; friendly staff.

Room was fine, as usual, nothing special to mentions. The bed was big and comfortable. The size of the room was fine, not too big, not too small. The ventilation could be better. Unfortunately, this hotel right in the center, and there is a bit of traffic on the street under the windows - hence, no possible to open the window (noise) during the night. The aircon was a bit too noisy and we had to switch it off. No breakfast was used - way too expensive. Nise part: there is a parking right under the hotel. Hotel is nicely located - this is a good thing. The parking is rather small and we were lucky to get the last place that day. On another night it was completely full, and some cars were parked on the way out. Breakfast was way to expensive for the offering.

The Mercure Caen Centre Port hotel is exquisite! It overlooks the harbor with lovely views, and is close to plenty of restaurants, shopping, and the like. It's easy to reach by vehicle. The Château de Caen is within easy walking distance, as are several lovely old churches and some fantastic views of the city. Parking is convenient, on-site, and secure. The hotel has a wonderful breakfast with plenty of variety. The staff are friendly and helpful. N/A

Breakfast, location, staff and view. Parking was expensive.

Close to everything, clean and comfortable. Room far too hot, 25 degrees in the room at night, unable to turn the air con on. Staff said no air con as it's April!!!

Great location Breakfast expensive

The window did not close properly and let in sound from outside.

Good breakfast clean Noise in room from air con or so stayed a few times before didn’t have this noise

Location was great. The breakfast was really good. The front desk was very helpful. We were from the US The square pillows were hard to get used to. Didn’t really like them. No air conditioning while we were there. Still on heat only but could have used some cold air.

Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful, facilities (except for air conditioning - see below) were acceptable, room size and location great. - Air conditioning - room temperature was 23.5C, or extremely warm to allow for a comfortable sleep. Air conditioning seemed not to be working, and when we contacted the front desk, they explained that it was set for "Chaud"/Hot, and there for not for calling - and changing it to Froid/Cooling, would mean changing it for the whole hotel! i.e, either the whole hotel was on Chaud or Froid mode... The only way was to open the windows at night, and being a central location it was extremely noisy and being April temperatures around 10C. - Breakfast - I am gluten intolerant, and contacted the hotel in advance, being informed they had multiple gluten-free options. That statement was inaccurate - although I could get some type of bread on the first day, that was not available during the subsequent two days, and no effort made to try to get it - the only choice provided were mini-cakes...
