The host was very attentive to our needs. There was a power outage on our last day there and he made sure we had water and even gave us a short tour of the surrounding neighborhood. The howler monkeys in the area can be a bit loud but that's part of the experience ?

Julien was very kind and accommodating. He welcomed us with the most delicious cocktails. He helped us even with providing glass bottles because plastic anything was not accepted in the National Park. And the jarden is absolutely amazing! -

Warm-hearted host, tasty breakfast, frog and bird watching in the yard Nothing

We spent two wonderful nights at Julien’s accommodation. On the day we arrived, we were greeted with a delicious smoothie made from local fruits. The accommodation is very nice and the rooms very large and clean. The breakfast was prepared by Julien with a lot of love, it was the best breakfast on our round trip through Costa Rica. You could tell how much love Julien puts into renting out his accommodation. Overall it was a very nice stay and we would come back anytime.

good place to relax? The stay was the best of our two-week vacation in Costa Rica. The owner, Julien, was super friendly, gave us lots of great tips, and was always there to listen. The accommodation was beautifully dreamy, a little paradise. Every day, we could see different kinds of animals in his garden. We were able to fully relax and will definitely come back! Everything was amazing

The owners are incredibly nice and share recommendations for the activities and restaurants, the breakfast is heavenly!!! The rooms are elegant, large and comfortable, the garden is a paradise. The best accommodation!

Wonderful hosts and exceptional breakfast. Julien and Marian always available and helpful with local knowledge and advice. Arranged guided kayak and jungle trip which were brilliant. The garden is beautiful and tranquil full of colours, birds and wildlife. The sounds of nature were very relaxing and gave a great night's sleep. A truly memorable and special time. Thank you x Nothing

Beautiful facility and a great host! Julien is amazing. We had a wonderful time and became friends. The breakfast is out of this world! Nothing - it was extraordinary

That was our best stay in Costa Rica. Julien, the host, has a pure heart full of love for flora, fauna and is a great example of living a pura vida. He gave us best advices of the area, showed us around the property and village. Casa Mambo is very cozy, comfortable and really close to the beach. Breakfasts there were super delicious. We wish we could have stayed longer. Once we get back to CR, we will definately go to Casa Mambo.

Amazing Breakfast - Luscious tropical fruit in abundance. We were surprised that there was no daily housekeeping.

Host was brilliant and went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable stay. We had a tour booked early one day and he made sure we had breakfast before it even though it was outside of the usual breakfast times. Room was nice and air conditioned and bed was comfy

The highlights were the beautiful villa like property, the easy use of AC anytime without issues, and the delicious breakfast made specially for us. Also the hospitality and flexibility offered to us by Valerie was such a bonus! Location cannot be understated, less than 10 minutes walk to beach! When getting dropped off, sounds like it's common for drop off to be confusing as Casa Mambo is a few minutes further than where indicated. This wasn't too much trouble as we were redirected. Lack of natural light in room from our ground floor room, but didn't impact comfort.

We had a lovely stay at Casa Mambo. The room was super comfortable and clean, with fabulous internet and AC! Parking was easy and convenient. All the staff were super kind and helpful. The proximity to Playa Negra is perfect. My stay was quiet and relaxing. I would definitely stay there again! Breakfast could have been a bit improved. We did ask for eggs the one day and that helped (though I wish we had an option on how the eggs were cooked).

Nice room, good location. Valery was welcoming and helpful. Parking was difficult. To leave in the morning we had to wait for the owner to move his car so we could move ours. Not really a problem if you're staying for breakfast, however if you want to leave early you may need to coordinate with them. They have space to accommodate about 2 vehicles comfortably, but there were 3 in total while we stayed, so it was definitely tricky.
-
small. there are 3 separate rooms to rent and it feels quite crowded while in her yard when other guests are outside. there’s no air conditioning in the room and it was miserably hot. my fault for not booking a place with AC. We only stayed one night of our 3 night stay.

Relaxed atmosphere, nice courtyard and a welcoming owner. Close to entrance of Cahuita National Park. No WiFi during our stay (3 nights), despite it was mentioned in their facility overview. Quite a lot of mosquitoes inside the room and there is no mosquito net for the bunk bed. And be aware that you can’t pay with credit card, but this is mentioned in their Booking information.
