Piscina Natural on the Sea

Beautiful wood Casita with private bath, queen bed and mosquito netting. There is a fan in the room for comfort. The common area has a shared kitchen and covered space for yoga, reading, or just watching and hearing the waves. Property is so close to the water that I could hear the waves at night-lovely! Also had good wifi. I did not rent a bike or car and this secluded place is a long walk to businesses.

Beautiful location, lovely proprietors. The community kitchen was very convenient.

Only 5 minute walk to Playa Negra and 15 to the National Park. It was great to have hot water in the evening to shower. N/A

Piscinas Naturales is the most magical place I have stayed. The tide pools and garden are unbelievable. I am grateful to have gotten to know Patty, the owner, over the course of a few stays. She is wonderful to talk to and a fantastic host. Keep in mind rooms are not AC'd.

Excellent location by the beach with a nice communal seating area to sit and watch birds, lizards and sloths at the pools. Lovely garden! Great kitchen area. I enjoyed listening to the waves as I fell asleep at night. Patti the owner was friendly and helpful. I was very glad I had an eye mask for sleeping because the lace curtains don’t block the bright security lights outside the rooms.

The Piscina Natural was stunning . . . a joy to swim in . . . he sea water flowing in and out, just gorgeous. The host was amazing . . . she is a lovely person and addressed the needs of guests in a willing and friendly manner. The gardens on the property were maintained to an excellent standard . . . it was a gorgeous setting in which to relax and enjoy nature. There is nothing I didn't like.

A very relaxed ambience, lovely jungle-like grounds with, of course, the natural inlet pool. An easy wander to nearby bars and local restaurants. Katy is a charming and easy-going host.

We felt fortunate to spend time relaxing at this special property! The beautiful gardens and pathways, listening to the waves, the comfortable seating in the common area looking over the natural pool. We appreciated the interesting details throughout-the use of nature’s treasures, and the time spent creating this wonderful atmosphere. Our room was comfortable. We slept great! It was nice to use the kitchen. A great place with great hosts!

The pools and the host were amazing

The rooms are very simple yet have everything you need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is perfectly equipped—clean, efficient, and organized for all your cooking needs. I especially appreciated the well-thought-out recycling system, which shows Patty’s care for the environment. The garden, lovingly tended for decades, is a highlight—lush and full of life. You can also feel a calm presence in the space that reflects the memory of Patty’s partner, Walter. With the cool ocean breeze and natural pools to enjoy, this hotel offers a serene and private escape where you can feel at one with nature. Patty you are truly a one in million! The hotel has very few rooms, so felt very private. The kitchen was clean, contained everything we needed and was more than large enough to cater for us all. The host was lovely, and the coral pools were incredible. We really enjoyed relaxing in the garden, looking at all the animals. There is even a flower shower for after swimming in the sea!

The accommodation right by the sea, with a fantastic view of the waves from a wonderful garden and a small natural swimming pool is a real highlight. Patty and Jennifer are extremely helpful and are available with advice and assistance as well as wonderful explanations. The Piscina Natural is a special place in the noisier surroundings further away from the town.

Beautiful garden setting and natural sea cove pool. The owners are beautiful warm and very accomodating. Rented bicycles to get around made the stay so much better. Like most places no A/C.

Beautifully maintained garden, natural swimming pool

The staff was absolutely lovely and so helpful. The property is beautiful, the garden is stunning and you can swim without going out of the property. It’s better to have a car for you stay otherwise it will take 25 min to walk to Cahuita.

Almost everything Beds could be a bit more comfortable

The most beautiful place I stayed in CR. Read the reviews and saw the pictures before i went, none of which did a justice. I felt the place was special. Being in the natural pool was blessing, a total zen moment. Saw quite a few animals there and just around. The place stole my heart. Only would want to go back soon! Nada
