Cabinas Algebra

I’d like to take a moment to talk about this place. It is truly exceptional, and we absolutely loved our stay there with our daughter. The garden is a gem, beautifully cared for, and full of wildlife, including sloths and howler monkeys. Samuel told us that he helped build a bridge to allow them to move around freely. The whole place gives a deep sense of peace, and we all slept incredibly well. Just a few minutes away, there is a beautiful, unspoiled beach. The hosts are incredibly friendly and genuinely curious people, and you can really feel how they embrace the pura vida lifestyle. We felt very welcome from the start. They shared the story behind the name and the place and gave us plenty of useful tips for getting around. We loved Cahuita, and staying at Cabina Algebra made the experience even more special for our family. Nothing

Location was great. Accommodations quite lovely! Hosts were amazing! I did not partake in the breakfast so I can't respond to that. Very hot night and the two fans didn't seem to be enough for us Californians.

Very quiet, pleasant surroundings. I could hear the surf from our cabin. Nice deck to sit on and enjoy the surroundings. The access road.

As an American, I was suprised to see that there was only one temperature of water. It's whatever temperature comes out of the faucet, depending on the outside temperature. It was completely workable for our stay, just something I didn't realize we would encounter.

Super hosts who make you feel at home, excellent meals, cosy special restaurant, great peaceful garden with lots of animals and hammocks in front of cabinas. Muchas gracias y todo lo mejor!

Wonderful hospitality in the perfect location. Quiet, peaceful setting in walking distance to Playa Grande that one has to oneself. Great menu at the onsite restaurant. A car is of advantage. Highly recommended.

Beautiful gardens active with birds and animals, including a sloth. The nearby beach was nearly deserted, but for the nesting Leatherback turtles, it seemed ideal. The restaurant served gourmet food. The menu was varied. The Curry to die for!

For this price it is a perfect place to stay. Hosts are outstanding friendly, the location is amazing with a lush garden and close to a really nice beach. If a place still (in 2025) has the original (now fairly dirty) posters of how to handle covid on the door of the room, it tells you a lot about the eye for detail...

Andrea and Samuel will welcome you and take care of your stay with kindness and a smile. Delicious breakfast. Amazing location surrounded by pure jungle. Close to the sea, 10 min walk to the beach. Great value for money!

100m from Playa Grande and with a lovely 3km walk to Cahuita National Park past the famous Reggae Bar, the hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming to me. Meals and accommodation exceeded expectations, and I feel I've made good friends in the short time that I was there. That I only had three days to enjoy the abundance of nature, the beaches, the food and drink, and the great company.

Perfect staff. Accommodation is very old school. We had "only" one cockroach in our room.

Beautiful garden. We saw green macaws and different toekans early in the morning. Food in restaurant is excellent. Good bed and pillows. Spacious. Quiet location. Friendly helpful hosts. Good price. Kitchen: Everything was greasy and dirty. No hot water in the kitchen that explains a lot ofcourse.

Very nice place with nice owners. The location was perfect for me - 3 k"m from the city center but in a beautiful place in nature near one of the beaches . It's a good place to explore nature, especially at night . They have also a good restaurant with good prices. Wifi was very bad during my staying . Sometimes it didn't work at all . Also the bathroom nèed some fixing .
