Extremely friendly staff. Sadia and Lina Roy at the front desk and Aratrika and Manish at J.W. Kitchen were particularly notable. Sadia and Aratrika remembered us from our last stay. Room and the bathroom Breakfast at J W Kitchen Dinner at J W. Kitchen For dinner on the 31st of December evening, I made a request for a table, but never got a confirmation. It was the personal intervention of Sadia at the time of check in that I got confirmation.

We liked the room decorations for my birthday, and the birthday cake provided. The spa tub was the highlight and the beds were comfortable too. We had a great view of the ITC Royal Bengal and the room was nice and clean on a high floor (20th). The connecting rooms were also especially helpful to help ensure we had a convenient, safe and pleasant stay. We enjoyed the twin beds as well as the king bed rooms, and the room service was very well packaged and delivered hot and fresh to the rooms, in ample quantity. The check-in staff were friendly, especially Ankita, who arranged for all the decorations and cake. Really happy to celebrate my 41st birthday here! The checkout time was very long. Also, I was informed that the prior request for a late check in and check out request will be chargeable, which has never happened before, especially since I'm travelling with a young child. We did not like the behaviour of the housekeeping staff, who were reluctant and sluggish in their behaviour. The check-in staff also doubled up as the concierge that showed guests to their rooms, which created a major delay in checking out since no staff was present to help us checkout for quite a while. The night time room service left a lot to be desired because the food was dry and hard. The menu is also overpriced, and having to pay on the spot was also inconvenient and an embarrassment for my friends, who thought the hotel staff didn't trust us enough to pay during checkout! The breakfast bakery items have really been cut down since the last time I stayed there, which was a major disappointment since I was expecting the usual spread like there used to be before!
