The overall property was good. Traditional Welcome is good. Food was good. Special mention of the Misti Dohi we had after dinner at the restaurant. The staff was polite. Special mention of Mr Suraj who took me around the property and explained everything significantly good. The suite was unexpectedly small for the size to be called a Prime suite. I was expecting a bigger bathroom with a bathtub in a suite. The cost of suite is not justified. Secondly, my car was dirty when i received it back. Looked like it was parked out in the open. Before giving it back to the customer , it would have been nice to have at least wiped it cloth to make a look little clean.

Staff, decor, cleanliness, room size, pool Stairs everywhere. Not accessible. This is not disclosed in property pictures or description. Entrance is a hassle. The security ( first contact) wasn't helpful in showing us the alternate entrance.

Breakfast was enjoyable and offered a good variety. However, the banquet area where it is served felt somewhat constrained, and the overall space and layout could be improved to enhance the dining experience—especially considering the standards expected from a five-star property. nothing as such, its good.

Having stayed at numerous places across Kolkata, I’ve finally discovered a property that fully meets my expectations while delivering outstanding value for money. I’ll definitely be staying here every time I visit Kolkata in the future.

The staff, property and location were all excellent!

Quite hotel with interesting architecture and style. Good food and service. Staff doesn't seem to very involve in your stay. Also faced with many problems with wi-fi in my room. And even after some technical works I wasn't able to do my work in room, very dissappointing. Also location far from city center and you forced to use taxi every time if you want to see any landmarks.

The height of bed was too high and the nearest plug points were far away from the edge of the bed. Requested for a weighing machine on one evening but received it next day after giving 3 reminders.

Convinient location for attending Wedding at Rak Kutir The facilities are not like top hotels in the city and the stairs are steep and walkways long at times.

Outside setting and polite staff taking care of all the guests. Room are small and dengi . Little bit of dusty could be better

There were female staff even at night who cared me who was a solo female traveler. I felt safe and comfortable. All staff are very professional and friendly. Thank you!

Lovely property with very helpful and kind staff. The door to the room looked dirty and worn. The robe and towels were old and worn looking. In fact the robe had a big tear and hole in it .

Beautiful building and comfortable bed and nice furnitures - I had written a long email Hopely the manager will address it . I would like to summarize it that the services in this hotel lacks the quality of a 5 star hotel . This shouldn’t have been rated as 5 star . - staff needs to have a work flow and systematic way to address staff coming in late night . - no bell boy at night and you have to take short stairs and if you have big luggage’s like us it is a struggle . - I travelled with a child and we don’t see the quality of a 5 star on This hotel except for the facilities . - in my opinion this is poorly manage hotel

The vibe of hotel is very cool The hotel did not give me the room I booked for on booking.com despite I booked the most expensive one at the time

A very special hotel. Very unique - gorgeous finishes . The staff were so attentive , the food was excellent-‘the Chef even came over to our table to check on us.

A superb heritage-type hotel. The spacious grounds are an island of tranquillity and comfort, in striking (and somewhat morally disturbing) contrast to the surrounding streets. The staff are attentive and helpful without being intrusive or overly servile. In particular, Mohan Thapa went out of his way to help me. Some more concessions to the twenty-first century would be welcome: the rooms should have more (and more accessible) power sockets, and the wifi could use improvement. I found the air conditioning in my room too cold, though I realise I may belong to a minority in this respect. The AC remote did not seem to do anything: the Off key certainly didn't turn the AC off, and none of the settings seemed to make any difference, it just kept blasting cold air.

We had a get together also. It was arranged in very professional way. There should be more lighting in the corners and pathways. It's difficult for us in night hours.

Breakfast was good. Dinner was passable. There was too much concrete. The area in front of the breakfast dining space at least needs to be converted to a lawn. The whole property can do with a lot of greening.

Location 40minitus from my Residence No Problem

The experiment was quite disappointing. This was my fifth visit and I was extremely shocked to see their complete and utter disregard towards basic facilities. We were given a very small room ( the Supreme One whereas we had booked Deluxe) Quite basic room equipments were missing like the comb or the inroom dining service QR or the paid items. Even the mini bar was empty and we had to ask them to fill up things. Had a very bad experience the first day during breakfast where despite ordering thrice they didn't get us one sweet dish which was unavailable at the buffet. First, their items were over and not being refilled despite the time not being over and second, when we asked for it we were promised food and then no attempt was made to even apologise or let us know that the item would not be given to us. We waited at the table like fools. The food was extremely overpriced even by their standards as they made a separate menu at East India and it was extremely limited. People come to such places for the ambience and not just the food! They flaunt and boast about their atmosphere too. It was ironical that they couldn't accomodate their customers in the place which Raajkutir is known for, The East India Restaurant! They kept taking innumerable bookings and sent their own lodged guests like us (and also people who had come to enjoy their Pujo Lunch or dinner at their beautiful place) to a different banquet space that was so underwhelming and under-decorated that it killed the entire appeal and feel. Not to mention , the entire menu was exorbitantly priced and I can't stress it enough. Now, I might be told that it's a Five Star place and I shouldn't have been surprised by their prices. BUT I WAS. I had expected and known their prices but what I hadn't expected is that they would overcharge a Biryani and give us less content also. What I hadn't expected is that they would create a menu which reeked of such lack of effort and hardwork!
