We had a great stay. The room was clean, the service professional, the view of the city fabulous. The only negative was the lack of shelves or luggage racks to put our stuff on. And the bathroom didn’t have hooks, shelves, or conveniences for the four of us to organize our things. Even the extra towels had to go on the floor. I feel like that would be an easy upgrade to elevate the comfort of the stay.

Room was clean and cozy! Easy to grab a Lyft or uber to get to Fenway

Great location and a nice place to stay. Loved the pool!

The only issue I had is that the elevator in the garage was not currently working. The staff were helpful in offering an alternative but it wasn’t ideal to learn about it in the top floor of the garage with all my luggage! Otherwise a nice hotel with gorgeous view and very helpful and pleasant staff.

This is our third stay at the Royal Sonesta; we stayed four nights and it was horrible. The room that they gave us was on the sixth floor in the corner. It had the tiniest toilet I have ever seen. An adult could not sit comfortably on it. The room had a sewage like smell when we first walked in and throughout the entire first night we were there. The bed was so uncomfortable. We probably would’ve had a better night sleep sleeping on the floor. We woke up sore and in pain every morning. Our room was combined with another room and we could hear every single word from the guest next-door through the walls and the combined door. We had no idea we were getting a room with a combined door. The elevator in the parking garage was broken the entire time we were there, and we had to take the stairs and juggle luggage. This is one of the most affordable places to stay when visiting Boston, but despite the money we saved, we will no longer be staying at this hotel.

Grandeur de la chambre pour le prix

The property was quiet and clean. Easy to get to and had parking (garage that you need to pay for). Rooms were small but for a short stay like we had it was all that was needed.

It was a nice hotel. The room and bathroom were very dark. No option for brighter lighting. Cold/ hot water in bathroom was hard to figure out. The parking garage elevator was not working and the parking spaces in the garage were tiny. Someone was parked so closely that I had to craw in my car through the back. The front desk had no items that you may have forgotten such as toothbrush or ibuprofen and the only place to purchase was the Starbucks in the hotel that was only open until 3 pm

The Royal Sonesta has been my "go to" hotel for my trips to Boston for a decade. Although in Cambridge, it is a great location to visit both Cambridge and Boston. The subway system is very extensive and easy to use to get anywhere in the metro-Boston area; I've never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes for an Uber. The hotel is very well maintained, clean, and the common areas are filled with light. Housekeeping does a great job. The front desk staff are professional, upbeat, and give good advice on navigating the city. The rooms are sunlit as well, functional, and comfortable. There is a large indoor pool and fitness center. There is a Starbucks on-site, lobby bar, and formal restaurant (all three of which tend to be lively). The area around the hotel is pedestrian friendly, a mall across the street with restaurants and standard mall stores. M.I.T. is in the neighborhood and Kendall Square restaurants, shops, and entertainment venues are nearby. The price is always competitive compared to similar brand-named properties in metro-Boston.
