Residence Inn Canton

The construction mess detracted from the experience.

We had a newly-remodeled room which was clean, modern, and comfortable. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast was a nice benefit. Parking was free and plentiful.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool wasn't open. We were a little disappointed about that.

Exceptional

Hotel was under renovation. We could not get Internet in our room which made it hard to work. The staff was unbelievably helpful courteous and try everything to make us comfortable while we stay there. I look forward to staying there again once the hotel is finished being renovated.

Property is currently undergoing renovation, so that impacted the outdoor cleanliness of the property. However, the pool had debris in it and should have been cleaned, housekeeping neglected to gather a few items from previous guests (used towel behind bathroom door and a comb in the vanity drawer). Dishwasher flap did not open, so as dishwasher was run, essentially, no soap was used. Staff members were all positive and responsive to our concerns.

We were told that the property was being renovated and the renovation is almost complete. It would have been nice to have a "renovated" room. The room we got definitely needed renovated (burn mark on tub, wallpaper pealing, stains on carpet, cracks in kitchen tiles, vents were very dirty/dusty). We had a 2 night stay and they didn't clean our room at all. When we went to the front desk to ask for clean towels, we were given clean towels right away, but they didn't even apologize or acknowledge that our room hadn't been cleaned. They were working on the plumbing, so some ceiling tiles were missing in the halls - there were chunks of ceiling on the floor of several of the halls, which could have been swept up instead of leaving it there overnight.

Parking was fine. Property was in desperate need of an upgrade. I believe they are starting remodeling. No maid service offered and not given bath towels upon request (realized they were bath mats far too late.) Breakfast was ok, however no forks, yogurt out of date, bacon burnt..... The people were very nice, I just hope the update helps!

Currently under renovation so some construction equipment located outside, however inside perfectly clean very well maintained, and the staff was unbelievable front desk. A black gentleman and a black female went above and beyond. We adored them both. I believe the female was a district manager I unfortunately did not get their names, but they make things so pleasurable.

Staff was very friendly though. They tried to be helpful where they could with all the above.

When arriving the staff was super friendly and helpful room was upgraded and clean

They were doing construction on the floor above our room. They began pounding early in the morning. We could not sleep.

The staff was very helpful and courteous. Yoshi and Micheal were the best. After having a bad experience at 2 other hotels they made us fill at easy and we finally got a good nights rest.

Our room door bolted

Hotel was being remodeled and wasn't told that. Half the property was full of trash and old furniture. Pool was down. Our room wasn't updated yet, but dingy. We had to wait a hour after check in for the housekeeper to finish cleaning. The price was 308, but was charged 355.

On the positive side, the breakfast spread was exactly what we needed and parking was easy.

Bad

Location was great, room was huge & very clean! Staff were fun & friendly, basketball court was nice, the sweet lady who does breakfast is amazing! The hotel was undergoing some construction, but even with construction going on there were 0 complaints!
