The staff were nice

Safe area close to my conference. The room setup. Bathroom has a sliding door not an actual door you can lock.

The beds were incredibly comfortable — I slept like a baby! The breakfasts were delicious and varied, with something to suit every taste. The lobby restaurant is a real highlight: great atmosphere and excellent food. 1) I specifically requested twin beds when booking a month in advance and confirmed the request again a week before check‑in. However, upon arrival I was told no such rooms were available — despite my proactive efforts — and had to share one large bed with my colleague, which was extremely awkward and uncomfortable. 2) I had an absolutely appalling experience with this hotel — and I’m not even the one who lost money: it was my friend, whose $500 went missing from her room during her stay. What’s even more outrageous is that the management showed zero willingness to address the issue or offer any kind of compensation. That’s not an isolated case, either: several other guests I spoke with had similar stories — significant amounts of cash stolen from their rooms, with the hotel staff turning a blind eye every single time. What’s particularly suspicious is that my friend’s money disappeared the day before check‑out. It feels like a calculated move: they probably counted on us noticing the loss only after we’d left Cape Town, making it much harder to hold them accountable. 3) On top of that, the room conditions were downright unacceptable. We discovered cockroaches, which clearly shows a serious lack of basic hygiene and proper cleaning standards. How can a place that can’t guarantee the safety of guests’ belongings or maintain decent cleanliness expect anyone to feel comfortable staying there? TLDR: I’m left with no choice but to strongly warn potential guests: think twice before booking here. This hotel clearly doesn’t prioritise guest safety or satisfaction — your money and peace of mind are at real risk. I would never recommend staying here under any circumstances.

Location, room layout & the stunning design

The family rooms are very spacious offering lots of movement for families with children. The two swings in the bedroom were a pleasant surprise and loved by children and adults alike. Comfy and therapeutic. Loved the decor throughout the hotel - fun and modern with lots of attention to detail. Great breakfast selection.

The room was very nice, the location outstanding, very good breakfast, loved the view of Table Mountain The nespresso coffeemaker was new to me but once I figured out how to drop the pod in it was easy. Place is a bit pricey

The gym is, for me, the best feature - it is modern, clean, and well-equipped. The rooms are very nice. They have good decor. Excellent location.

The property was nice inside and in a nice area The management of the hotel was poor especially on F&B. Prior to my booking the property asked for any dietary requirements, for which I communicated to them all my allergens and they didn’t have anything for breakfast to cater for gluten free diets/ celiacs. Moreover, the labeling on the food was incorrect. It says that they serve smoked salmon but it’s trout. The staff were very friendly and tried to fix when they could but I think the issue is from the top level. Moreover, they had a fire alarm go off at 22:00 and our room was full of smoke and it smelt really bad. The General Manager kindly changed our room for the last night but then we were woken up again at 06:00 am by a false alarm. Apparently the fire alarm in the hotel was going off due to external issues which were out of their control… it seemed quite strange and all in all very badly managed and staff didn’t look like they knew what they were doing.

The decor This stay was AWFUL. This is just a beautiful and well decorated hotel with the WORST service we have ever had: - Breakfast (eggs, bacon, tomato) and a simple tea took more than 30 minutes (which we complained and ended up leaving to have breakfast somewhere else) - the water glasses, towels, pillowcase at the room are NOT CHANGED or at least washed. We found a glass from the previous day DIRTY. The pillowcase was DIRTY with my make up from the previous day. -There was a false alarm at 6AM nobody could at least give a proper reason for waking up us up that early. We reported all that to the concierge, TWICE, he said he would get back to us but all we found was a CANDY and no apology. The disrespect with the guests is UNBELIEVABLE and UNACCEPTABLE!

Nothing, we always enjoy our stay.

They have 2 glass bottles in the room (and glasses to use) that can be filled up by a dispenser in the hall with still or sparkling water. Lots of South African and hip design features throughout the hotel. Great bathroom lighting and products. Full length mirror, hair dryer and steamer in room. Toilet paper was thin, but that was the only (super minor) thing I disliked about the entire stay.
