The breakfast buffet was exceptional. Very fresh and plenty of options for all tastes and eating preferences. The staff helped us plan the activities that appealed to us, even making dinner reservations for us every night. Beautiful gardens and comfy beds.

Acorn House is located in a very nice residential neighbourhood. There’s a little restaurant conveniently located nearby, but the breakfasts at Acorn House are excellent. It has nice views and all of the staff were knowledgeable, engaging and helpful.

It was tastefully decorated with all the right touches! Lounging spots in the sunshine and in the shade, by the pool, on the front verandah and right outside in my private patio. The breakfast was a feast of colourful fruit, and everything healthy and nutritious that one could desire. Staff and service was attentive and personal. . Nothing .. it was everything I could hope for!

Great location, close to Table Mountain. Kloof Street is nearby where a large variety of restaurants are located. Management (Maaike, Stefan and Eva) were most helpful in making us enjoy our stay to the fullest. The serving staff were most friendly and helpful too. The property was very clean, has excellent WiFi, a cosily located swimming pool and provides excellent breakfast! Can not think of anything that would require improvement.

A beautiful and unique house, comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast, cozy shared space for cocktails, games, and socializing with the other guests, lovely gardens with views of the mountains, and all an easy walk or taxi into town. Nothing!

Lovely stay and we're looking forward to staying there again

Nice and safe place to stay (also as a family). Breakfast was nice with additional options such as eggs or pancakes. Very close to table mountain cable car station (10min). Just across the street is also a deli with nice pastries, good coffee and other snacks or even lunch or dinner options.

A lovely old building with a lot of character brought up to modern standards. The street can get a little noisy at times but after all we are in the city.

A lovely property with the stunning backdrop of Table Mountain & yet only a short stroll to the heart of Cape Town. We had a fantastic welcome from the owner & her team & we were delighted with our room which had a separate lounge leading onto a terraced area. Breakfast was a veritable feast & nothing was too much trouble. We were provided with lots of top tips on restaurants and nearby attractions & this was a bonus. Thanks also for the late checkout & baggage storage plus my gorgeous fridge magnet gift. Nothing to dislike. There was lots of lovely little touches such as an honesty bar, chocolate & caramels next to the bed & free flowing hot drinks on demand.

The perfect place to start our 3 week honeymoon! Fantastically friendly staff and owner- we basically had a personalised itinerary sorted for us every day (and it was always spot on!) Peaceful location, but close to the hustle and bustle - we ubered everywhere really easily and cheaply. We’ll absolutely stay again should we ever be back in Cape Town!

Lovely room, garden and facilities in a great location. The staff were super friendly and helpful.

Everyting I liked. The warm welcome by the hosts, the excellent styling of the house. The superb breakfast, the service of the staff. Staff is friendly. The room is styled to perfection, the bathroom is new and clean. You can park in the street for free and you will always find a spot. In case you need help, blink with your eyes and the staff is there. It feels very safe and welcome. Rooms have air conditioning, TV with all possible channels. There is a swimming pool, lots of lounge facilities in the garden and around the house, all in perfect condition. Seriously, nothing! The airco in my room broke down, and they instantly call a technician to fix it. The water supply was off for a couple of hours (happens in South Africa) and the bottles of water and buckets of water were supplied by the staff.
