Southern Sun Cape Town Waterfront

The room is with two double beds! The room is not spacious and for the bathroom, there is no hand shower!

Rooms are neat and clean, convenient shuttle to the waterfront, decent breakfast buffet. Would have liked to be a little closer to the waterfront and the pillows were pretty flat.

The breakfast was very mediocre, I prefer the Cape Sun Southern Sun, the breakfast is the best, the room meets every expectation. The breakfast at the southern sun waterfront was extremely limited, had to wait to long for our order and the hotel was not even that full. the selection on the breakfast table was very limited. I went with my sister, both our families shared different room. Both her bathroom and my bathroom had nails creeping out at the entrance of the bathroom. Both our daughters stepped in to the sharp nail, my sister was reimbursed, my complained just went unnoticed, i wont ever frequent this hotel again or recommend it to family and friends.

We checked in on May 14 and we asked the clerk who helped us if we can stay in the same room after the two days that we have booked because we are staying for an extra four days with a tour company and that it would be much better if we didn’t have to pack and check out and then wait for another room to be ready. The clerk said we can stay in the same room. We asked if there was extra charge and he said no. So we were happy. I would have given them an excellent review except we got a phone call on the 16 th while we were out sightseeing seeing. They told us we had to check out of our room and go to another room because our tour group had booked an inferior room to the one I had booked. So we had to leave our group of friends in the middle of our sightseeing and rush back and packed like mad in order to get checked out. I was ok to checkout and go to another room if they had given me the correct information but this interruption during our outing left me with a really bad taste. The rooms a tiny.

Great food . A wonderful facility.

The shuttle to V&A waterfront. The porters were friendly and the food was good Its not really kid friendly. No activities, especially during a weekend like "two oceans". Also the person who was cleaning my room did not check behind the curtains. There were old forks and knives probably from a prior visit.

The person making omeliates for breakfast was exceptional, recognized my order on day 2 of a four day stay. She was also friendly.

Breakfast was great and the location is fantastic. Very helpful staff with getting around with taxi's and shuttles. The proximity to Waterfront and CTICC is great. No complaints at all

Location The room was old and not very clean. Toilet wasn't working properly. Bed and pillows were uncomfortable

Breakfast spread was too shallow with little to nothing to eat, very few protein options and I was left to eat eggs and croissants everyday The room too was too small

Friendly and responsive staff, nice location, shuttle to waterfront - no shuttle to airport tho. Breakfast was good

Location was great. Breakfast was delicious. Too pricy for what you get. Tiny rooms with an aircon that does not really work. Not enough sun loungers at the pool. Staff should be trained in customer service, as many were rude and not friendly at all.

Good and will be back Parking to small for bigger cars

The breakfast was very good and the location was good. The room was way too small, my bed was almost touching the desk. The bathroom was smallish as well. The gym was also small.
