Large, comfortable, quiet, very clean room. Not much not to like. Only gripe was the restaurant service, which on all occasions over 4 days, despite friendly staff and excellent food, took an inordinate time to deliver. So dining experiences were marred.

Excellent breakfast quality and choices. Superb outdoor setting. Pull-out bed mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable.

Location very good, grounds and gardens very beautiful. Buildings and decor very lovely. Altogether an very good but too short stay. Restaurant service, wine and food really very good. Beautiful decor and rooms. Check in was not bad, but not quite as good as I expected.

We have been here now several times already. It is always great to come back as it's the perfect place to relax. Rooms are very comfortable and the whole staff is competent and friendly. There is absolutely nothing to complain

Lovely surroundings and great location to explore the Cape peninsula Parking sometimes difficult as part of the property is rented office space so day parking more difficult than after hours. We also thought the mix of modern art, fittings did not work so well with the historic building and location.

Breakfast was excellent, great choice, excellent quality. The pool area was lovely - comfortable, clean with helpful service on hand at all times. Facilities and comfort level of our room and at the hotel in general was first class and the well trained, helpful and professional staff throughout were a highlight The only downside was that we asked the hotel to arrange drivers for us for various trips which they did no problem however the quality of that transport was not up to the same standard as everything else.

Loved our stay here. Incredibly spacious and comfortable rooms and the biggest bed we’ve seen in a hotel. Lovely pool area and good choice of restaurants within the restaurant. 10/10
