The location was ideal for my business. However there were alternatives. Everything. The self catering apartment is very big, but it is lacking in cooking utensils, cleanliness and it really smelt of cigarette smoke. The bedding did not smell fresh and there was a lack of amenities. My room access key was not available on the day I arrived, the duty manager had to use his key to give me access to the room. The service from the staff was excellent. They can only do as much as they can, as the apartments are individually owned. The problem is that some apartments have rented out on a permanent basis and the tenants are unruly and the smoking of cannabis is the building is a daily occurence. The advertised restaurant is no longer operational, and as such no meals are served on the premises. All food and drink, needs to be purchased prior to entering the hotel.

spacious My fiancé and I booked the weekend away. Besides the lack of signage oh how to find the entrance or reception, the parking was a mission to find. When I eventually found the reception and was directed to the parking, the parking area was very tight. There should not parking bays on either side of the driveway as it is too narrow. The unit turned out to be acceptable. The part that frustrated me was requesting reception to open the sleeper couch, so that my fiancé and I could relax in the lounge area and watch a few movies, as the weather was cold. I called the reception as after a frustrating conversation with reception, it came down to - That I needed to pay an additional R400 per night, if I wanted to use the sleeper couch. This is the first time I hear of such a ridiculous rule. There are even cameras everywhere to monitor who in the building., yet this rule. why put this sleeper couch there in the first place if I cannot use it. The arrogance from the receptionist also didn’t help. I will NOT be visiting this facility again and will NIT recommend this facility to my family and friends.
