Holiday Inn Express Cape Town City-Centre by IHG

On way back to airport we booked specifically for hotel taxi transfer but they outsourced to another company. I was uncomfortable with this as official advice from our government is to use hotel transportation where possible

I liked everything Room was a bit small. No closet in the room.

Great location, outstanding staff, good value, variety and included breakfast, clean and safe. Nothing, all was perfect.

No clothes locker is available in the rooms; you have to hang your clothes on the hangers, which I feel was not ideal but is manageable.

What we liked the most were the wonderful staff, helpful, friendly and always smiling. The breakfast was very good, we were given an early morning take away breakfast one day as we were leaving early for a safari.

Great location, walking distance from museums, etc. Family room was big enough and the beds luxurious. Safe private parking. Lovely coffee machine availible during breakfast. Friendliest staff that is extremely helpful and kind. As one can expect from a city, it was extremely noisy in the street in the middle of the night with people screaming and fighting. There were plenty of breakfast to choose from, but not that tasty, almost like mass production. Bathroom had a bit of hair in it and the water pressure fluctuated

I spent the whole of January in this wonderful hotel. The room is very modern, bright and spacious. The bed is very good, the mattress does not bend, it is moderately hard. The pillows are just as good. The hotel is located right in the center of Cape Town. The best place. And very very safe. You can absolutely not worry about this. Yes, sometimes it was a little noisy outside at night, from the street. I always kept the window open ,because I like fresh air. But it didn't bother me in any way. And what is very important for me is the excellent soundproofing of the rooms. I didn't hear anyone from the neighboring rooms during this time. And by the way, the room was opposite the elevator. I didn't hear the elevator.A good breakfast every morning in the beautiful restaurant on the second floor. And now the most important thing. These are the people and the attitude towards you ! All the staff are very wonderful people! I would like to highlight the staff at the reception in different shifts. They are very friendly and open-hearted people ,who are always happy to see you and try to help you. You won't be alone here. It's like being at home. I would also like to thank the staff ,who clean the rooms. They are also very responsible and kind people. Thank you to the manager, Sonia ! It's clear ,that a team is working here, and this is thanks to the management. This is very important, and it's not always the case. Every day, Ubuntu !
