House on the Hill is an eco-conscious, owner managed guest house located in Green Point, Cape Town, just 0.6 mi from the V&A Waterfront. Tours including skydiving and shark cage diving can be arranged. House on the Hill is a small double story guest house in trendy Green Point. The house is fully self catering. While the rooms have a little kitchen nook you will find a fully fitted kitchen downstairs in our basement. If you dont feel like cooking there are plenty of coffee shops and restaurants within 2 minutes walk. The brightly colored rooms have a South African décor. All rooms include a tea-and-coffee-making facilities and free Wi-Fi. They also have safety deposit boxes, a hair dryer, and heaters for cold nights. There is a flowered terrace to enjoy the sun and free parking in front of the house. House on the Hill is located just over 1.2 mi from the CTICC Convention Center and less than 10 minutes’ drive away from Cape Town’s city center.

The price is amazing and the staff really superb. The gentleman at the front desk searched through draws of adaptors and chords to find just the right set up after I discovered that my adaptor was lost on the flight from my suitcase. When none of the charges worked, he let me borrow his own personal set up. :-) Location was good if you want to walk to a main street with various restaurants. The restaurants there were not establishments that I could eat in however. Very limited. There was a little noise from the street at night.

Deon is an amazing host. We always enjoy our stay at House on the Hill. The room we stayed in was very clean. The beds are very comfortable to sleep in. The location couldn't be more perfect. You are within walking distance of Sea Point, Mouille Point, the V & A Waterfront and a variety of restaurants. There was really nothing that we didn't like. Everything was perfect.

Great and affordable for its location. Restaurants close by and walking distance to Waterfront etc. Private parking an extra bonus for the area.

You get what you pay for. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. It is a basic place to stay that is within walking distance of the V&A Waterfront. If you you just need an affordable room to sleep and you are not fussy, this is the place to stay.

There was construction happening on buildings that are adjacent to the property and noise can be heard since early in the morning. Be prepared for that.

Perfect location,within walking distance to the waterfront and great restaurants on Main Road. The room was spotless and the electric blanket made my stay very cozy. Amazing staff/owner, I left my electric toothbrush in the room after I checked out and they were very accommodating with getting it back to me. I highly recommend House on the hill!

Darin our host was beyond wonderful. He went overboard even paid our cab to the cruise port. That's a difficult story best left unsaid. Suffice to say Darin was our savior.

the location was convenient The cleanliness in the room was satisfactory. But the overall impression was spoiled by the condition of the hall, the stairs, the dirty carpeting was all stained, the furniture should have been replaced a long time ago.

Convenance Staff not friendly, didn’t make eye contact, but was okay. Reviews were better than experienced.

Good location close to the Cape Town stadium, where we went to a concert Struggled to open the front door with the keys. Struggled to open the room door. No base to the kettle to make coffee on the morning. Bedding is old.

The property was truly great for our group of 7 (3 adults and 4 kids). The beds in the rooms were comfortable and even though small we all enjoyed warm showers everyday. The bonus of the location is that it is walking distance to The V&A Waterfront, which was excellent for the kids as well as Sea Point. Deon, our host was great and very patient when asked questions. Nothing to complain about
