Residence Inn by Marriott Carlsbad

The hotel amenities were well maintained and clean. Breakfast was good with good selection. The staff was very friendly and helpful, but the appliances in room were not in great shape. The fridge did not work, the AC did not work, the toaster did not work, the dishwasher was new with plastic on it (and in it, not properly installed in the cabinet and leaking...). We stayed at this hotel many times before, but we didn't have such type of problems. I'm not sure what is going on here...

Pool was not clean with sand from beach toys and items having been rinsed off in pool. Pool water was cloudy.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite and it was fantastic! Love the space, was perfect for our family. Located very close to Legoland, which was why we were in Carlsbad. We also did a day trip to San Diego. Which is very close and convenient for our stay at this hotel.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious. Breakfast was good. The pool was nice. The jacuzzi bubblers didn’t work, but it still felt good to sit in the warm water.

The only thing we didn’t like is the smell of the room when you come back from outside smell mould .

Very nicely kept hotel, staff was gracious and helped swiftly when needed. I highly recommend.

Exceptional

The room was clean and staff very accommodating. Kids loved the basketball court and pool with hot tub. I wished there was a bathtub. But the shower was not bad just a little difficult to shave my legs. There are drawers and cabinets all over and the kitchen is well furnished. The room is nice sized with five of us in a king a sofa bed. It’s a little weird being in an industrial area but good proximity to LEGOLAND, Costco, two skateparks and a plethora of dining options.

The stay was great, we had a room for our teen and another for my toddler and partner! The living space area felt so comfortable to watch something together as a family of 5. The amenities are great! There’s no need to go out and buy food if you want to cook lunch/ dinner indoors . They have EV chargers as well!

This property was exactly as advertised - a clean, roomy and relaxing room, with a great breakfast! The staff were exceptional and we loved that the rooms were quiet. Although it appeared that there were several families with children staying at the property, we could not hear any noise and slept soundly. I also appreciated that we were assigned a room on the first floor, since we had our two little fur babies with us. Nothing to complain about - this stay was perfect.

Always a good stay!!! The breakfast buffet is wonderful and kitchen amenities perfect!
