The location was great, close to malls, historical center, restaurants and pretty much everything that tourists looking for, breakfast was delicious and the stuff was very friendly and helpful. my room was a good size and clean. there was no air conditioning in the common hallway areas, but the room was chill enough and no shuttle bus service.

The stuff for reception The room it’s old

La ubicacion es muy buena, cerca de las playas y del centro. Facil para movilizarse Las habitaciones parecen ser mucho mas pequeñas de lo que se muestra en las fotos, las cama algo incomoda.

Friendly staff,breakfast,cleanness,location N/A

the location was the best thing is walkable of most everything the rooms are very basic clean not so much like i could see they rush to get it clean

The staff was wonderful and the restaurant had several options. The breakfast buffet was incredible and the amenities were clean. The pools are a bit small but both have a wonderful view. The room didn't have a view and due to construction (not the hotel's fault) the beach in front was closed off.

I like the hotel Regatta, this is the second time that I stayed in the hotel, the staff are very friendly and the rooms are very comfortable and clean, the ocean view is excellent. If I come again I will stay in the same hotel Regatta.

Good location, spacious room, good view 1. The room was too basic: - there wasn’t a hair dryer - there wasn’t a mini-bar - there wasn’t a guide book or anything with info about Cartagena, activities or about the hotel itself 2. The building doesn’t seem to be maintained or renovated properly. The walls, counters and surfaces look old and kind of broken. The bathroom door didn’t close well because it was misaligned. 3. The hotel doesn’t have a proper space for taxis to stop and leave guests. It’s just a small improvised space. 4. There was construction work being done at the beach in front of the hotel. Of course this is out of control of the hotel owners and staff. However, it’d be appreciated if they provide the information about this in advance so that guests are not surprised when they see there won’t be a beach just in front (for some people the fact that the beach is in front is one of the reasons to choose this hotel).

It is a good location, and it is right on the beach. However the beach was closed due to construction. - First of all, the staff was very negative, and rude. Nobody spoke English at the reception when we arrived. The lady at the reception asked us to sign a lot of papers - with long pages in tiny little letters written in Spanish language (No English version) - stating that we are satisfied with everything, satisfied with our room, and that we will not ask any refund in the future. (!) It was really rude and negative: we had to sign these papers even BEFORE watching the room or spending a night here. I have never seen this before in nowhere in the world, that is really hostile to welcome the guests like this. - When we entered the room it was very dark at night, so we did not see anything; as it was very late and we wanted to sleep, we signed the papers (unfortunately.) - When we woke up, we realized that the photos on Booking.com and on the website are very deceptive. On the photos you can see beautiful, modern room with seaview where you can see turquoise blue water thru the windows. In real life this beach is CLOSED, due to a noisy and ugly construction work. The beach has greyish/black sand, with trash everywhere. We even chose to close the curtains in order to not seeing it. It is one of the ugliest beach I have ever been (I visited 60 countries so far), so I did not even swim here in 2 weeks. - Second of all, this hotel is EXTREMELY NOISY. The rooms are looking to a main street, where cars are honking all day long, starting from early morning; it is impossible to sleep here. - The whole hotel was almost empty (Jan 2026), there were 3 people at breakfast time, the pool was empty too, all the bars were ugly, outdated and closed - All the building is really outdated and needs massive renovation. I think it should have been renovated 10 years ago At the end we checked out after the first night, and ask for a regund, but we did not get anything back. We even asked for a kind partial (!

Nice size, table to eat at, couch in room, beach view, A/C was cold. Location was ok. List of things that were horrible and the reason this hotel should be avoided. 1. No linen in the room x 3 hours after check in and after 3 calls to the front desk. I finally took it upon myself to find some. I stopped on every floor looking for the cleaning lady and got it myself. 2. The toilet flushing handle fell through the lid and into the water reservoir. I had to repair it myself (temporarily). It kind of works. 3. The towel ring fell off the wall as soon as I put the towel on it. 4. The drain in the shower is not connected and when the shower turned on and it moved, there was just a hole in the floor. This also occurred with the drain near the toilet. 5. The internet will not make it through a show without spinning constantly. I also could not use the internet on my phone. I am currently burning through my mobile service, which i had to pay extra for. 6. The room service food was disgusting. It was cold and tasted liked it had been sitting out for a long while before we got out. 7. The water pressure in the shower is almost a drip and barely lukewarm. It took me 15 minutes just to get the shampoo out of my hair. 8. No beach access. The entire area is walled off. You must walk about 1/4 mile to get to the beach.

Not much , maybe location is ok. The room I was assigned didn't match my booking description, the room is very run down. The floor tile is cracked. the window can't be opened, and the staff knew little English.
-
Location, staff and food presentation Small pools
-
Terrible window curtains that allow excessive amounts of light into the room while trying to sleep. Poor hot water.

I like the free breakfast with options of food, loved the staff Wilber, and Oscar they were very nice, I loved the view from outside - as the hotel is right across the street from the beach I didn't like the rooms very much, and they had me on a nosey floor when I informed them that I was a light sleeper. I didn't like that people were asking for money so that they could eat.
-
Good staff. No hairdryer, rooms not new or renovated. Breakfast really basic
-
View of the Rooms looks nice and breakfast is good Horrible service they dont know how to listen to you and they dont speak English very well the women manager is kinda rude she refused to help me to update my room for better one... I told her the money was not a problem but what the point to spend time and money with people like her she ruined my experience at Regatta Hotel

Excellent. No complains about location. Bathroom in rooms should have an odor extractor.
