We stayed at Hotel Zi One Luxury in Bocagrande, Cartagena, and overall had a pleasant experience. The hotel is conveniently located near plenty of shops, restaurants, and other amenities, all within walking distance. It's also only about 10 minutes from the historic city center, making it easy to explore Cartagena while staying in a slightly quieter area. There are local beaches nearby as well if that's something you're looking for. The hotel itself is clean, and the rooms were comfortable. One of the biggest positives was the staff. Everyone was friendly, efficient, and quick to help whenever we needed assistance. We had some issues with the air conditioning at night, but each time we notified the staff, they responded promptly and resolved the problem. The breakfast was decent and definitely not a deal breaker, but it could benefit from more variety and warmer food options. The pool area is cute and enjoyable, but there is room for improvement. The pool bar could offer a wider selection of drinks and snacks for guests relaxing by the pool, and adding some music would help create a more inviting atmosphere. There were a few other small things that could enhance the guest experience. The hot water never seemed to get fully hot and was mostly just warm. Additional towels and toiletries in the room would be appreciated, and simple conveniences such as plastic cups or access to a microwave would be helpful for guests staying in. The TV options were fine, although I wasn't able to cast or share my screen to the television. One detail that stood out was the decorative fountain on the property. It would be nice to see it running, especially in the evenings, as it would add a lot to the overall ambiance and aesthetics of the hotel. The housekeeping team did a good job keeping the rooms clean, although the service could be a little more efficient. I also appreciated the coffee station available near the front entrance.

A very good stay overall. The room was comfortable and clean, and the location in Bocagrande is great—just a short walk to the beach and close to restaurants and shops, while just a few minutes drive from the city center. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooftop pool has a nice view. Breakfast was good but could have more variety.

The location in the city was good This hotel treats every customer like a thief. They charge half up front. They emphasize that guests are only allowed one serving for breakfasts and stand over you to make sure. They limit electricity use for each room. They only have one elevator working. They hover over everyone like we are criminals. The employees are only doing what they are instructed to do. The owner is a miser and trusts no one. Saving money is the priority over guest comfort. Horrible experience. I do not recommend.

In addition, the room layout felt a bit strange (there was a sofa area that didn’t seem to make much sense), and the bathroom sink was leaking, so by the morning the bathroom floor was full of water. I think the hotel should improve these aspects of maintenance and room design.

Good location next to everything. Nice view from the rooftop. Poor breakfast and hotel really need renovation. It’s really overpriced for it condition.
-
Improve that breakfast as soon as possible

The receptionist changed me taxes, which she couldn’t have done, as I am an American citizen.

Room was clean There was no water…. We couldn’t shower or flush the toilet all night so bathroom. Employees at the front said the manager would give no discount or better rate. Which is crazy considering we couldn’t shower, go to the bathroom, or brush our teeth in the sink.

For several reasons, I had to switch hotels during my stay in Cartagena, staying at three different properties within a similar price range. Unfortunately, this was the worst of them. It's simply not worth what they charge. When I entered the room, there were no towels and no hairdryer. After a long day and with the intense heat, this was the minimum I expected. Reception did bring the towels after I called, but the hairdryer barely worked and seemed unsafe. Breakfast was buffet-style, but you were only allowed to go once, with very limited options-especially regarding protein. None of the other hotels had this issue. Overall, the price should be at least 20-30% lower considering the level of service and facilities provided, especially when compared to others that offers significantly better quality for the same range.

Breakfast menu was ok. Rooftop Pool wasn't heated when we got in at night.. Something i never experienced was that your room key was also what.turns on the electricity in the entire room, including the AC, so when your out the AC is off and you cant charge devices while your away.

The staff and hotel are great. Good location and close to everything.

Wouldn’t really agree that it is luxury. There are small roaches that roam every now and then . The restroom has windows in it which made me very paranoid. The Ac broke down on the third day and they did not care to fix it instead they sent us to hotel Bahía which was not up to par. (There was a poop streak on the cotton seat) we asked to be relocated to OZ collection but was told there weren’t any rooms available but when we went personally they gladly gave us a room . I was also told I would be given a refund for the 2 nights we didn’t stay at Zi one but i haven’t received it yet. I absolutely recommend Hotel OZ collection
