Palmetto Beach

The location. The bed sheets and the towels smelled. The ac filter was dirty which made the room smell rotten. The couch saldo smelled bad.

Right near the beach and lots of places to shop and eat. Awesome view from the 25th floor and sweet pool on the top floor. Loved having a washing machine to do laundry during our stay and the apartment stayed super cold. We really enjoyed our stay! Honestly, no real complaint, but one of the bathroom sink counters needs repairing as it was slightly coming off the wall. It didn’t affect our stay and wasn’t a big deal at all.

The large windows made for a nice view. Miguel responded quickly. The pictures on Booking were deceiving. It looks much nicer in the pictures than in real life. The smell of mold was prominent even underneath the extremely strong air freshener. Found mold on ceiling in hall outside of apt. Check-in staff was slow and not very helpful.

Excellent location on the beach and the higher floor apartment had a lovely sea breeze without any traffic noise etc.

The apartment has a beautiful view of the open sea and is located in a safe part of Cartagena with streets full of shops and restaurants. You will also find all the necessary things in the kitchenette. I recommend paying the full amount for the apartment in advance, as it cannot be done at the reception and you have to do it via your laptop or mobile phone. The code to your apartment will be sent to you only after payment and it is difficult to find a place to enter it. After desperately opening the door, the smell of cleaning agent and mold wafts over you, but you can't see it. Both odors will disappear after thorough ventilation. It may also happen that a party will go on on the neighboring balconies until the morning and prevent you from sleeping.

Location is very good. We felt safe. Beach is just in front of the building. The area has plenty of restaurants. Uber easily available in the area. Roof top pool was nice and clean. The property has a rule that you have to pay all he money upfront before 20 days of arrival. We did not know that and I thought that was not very customary. I spoke with the customer service of Booking.com and they were not very helpful. I felt uncomfortable giving all the money on some strange website the property manager gave me as I did not know it is a legitimate website in another country. Upon communicating with he manager, he gave us nasty ultimatum 2 days before our flight that he is going to put the property on the sale again and when we reach there, if some one else pays, we will not have the property. I had to pay all the money on a shady website before going there not knowing that it reached the right place. Anyway, it worked out but gave me unnecessary anxiety before my family vacation. So i want everyone to keep this in mund.
