Il Maniero

This Agriturismo was a wonderful oasis on a quiet back street just outside of Cassino. The building was beautiful and our room was classically decorated and spacious with a terrace and a fridge. The gardens, pool area and view were stunning and the family were very friendly and welcoming. There was a great big supermarket only a few hundred metres away and, as well as a couple of pizza places, brilliant Sushi restaurant which we loved. There were no water glasses in the room which was probably an oversight - I'm sure they'd have been provided if I asked. There were no drinks available on site - a selection in the room or with an honesty box would have been a lovely touch.

Great grounds, very beautiful. Room was clean and functional but without a fridge. Staff was friendly but gave you space. They had a communal fridge with free drinks that was nice. Pool was closed during the hottest part of the day and even the next morning although the staff was flexible and allowed us to swim after checkout. I booked a quadruple room but got a triple room for the same price. It worked out but I had to share a bed with one of my kids and I was not expecting that. There was a music concert out first night that went past midnight. The music was lovely but it was loud and unexpected for a hotel advertised to be amongst nature and quiet. Breakfast was basic.

We loved how quiet and remote Il Maniero was. The property is huge with lots of trees, flowers and gardens. The room was an excellent size and was very, very clean. Very easy to communicate with the hosts as they spoke perfect English. Honestly, the breakfast was a little disappointing. Not much variety and the coffee was the worst we had in Italy, other then that all was very good.

On arrival we parked and walked to what we thought was the main entrance, gorgeous house! We walk in on these 2 old Italian men watching soccer. One of the them invited us in was friendly and chatting but unfortunately we didn't speak Italian and he didn't speak English. It was understood that we were Americanas and that his son in law spoke English and to go to him, then all these well dressed Italian ladies walk in with groceries, also super friendly. Turns out the place where we were staying was on the side kinda towards the back of the house in a separate building. So embarrassing but everyone was friendly and laughing. Owner/ son in law of the gentlemen we walked in on was very very welcoming and friendly. Place was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good! 10/10 recommend.

We loved this place. It was very beautiful and the staff were amazing. Can't thank Giuseppe enough for all his help. Room was great and breakfast was amazing. The outdoor pool was just right for our boys they absolutely loved it so did we. We'll definitely be coming back here!

Owners are wonderful. Very close to Montecassino and nice restaurants. Breakfast was delightful.

Tranquil and beautiful with stunning pool area. Gracious host who speaks good english and we learned a lot about the Cassino area. Access to nice kitchen facility and dining area. Microwave oven would have finished off the kitchen facility.

This place is outside the town of Cassino, nice grounds & swimming pool. The staff was nice. We had bikes so we rode them to the town (15’) Room and bathroom could be updated. Breakfast was simple, no savory options, some homemade and packed sweets.

What a fabulous house. We felt very lucky indeed to be able to stay here. Very close to Monte Cassino. There is a lovely pool area for guests to enjoy. A dining room and kitchen also at the guests disposal. A family run guest house who are doing an amazing job. Highly recommended.
