The location and every thing is excellent No

Lake view and decoration and building. Stylish . Breakfast not bad.
-
The view , the rooms , the location and the history about the hotel The hotel is a little mess, especially the common areas
-
The location is perfect to go directly to the airport next day and enjoy the lake an a nice little town The bed was not comfortable and the bathroom was really small
-
The location was very good. The swimming pool is not heated. The receptionist had to stay with our passports to complete check-in, which is rather uncommon.

View was fantastic. Great stop before Airport The beds were a bit soft for us. and no hot drink in room, which we would expect to have.
-
Excellent views of the lake. The staff was very informative of the region and the rooms were very comfortable. Great breakfast choices. And the elevators are a real benefit. Nothing but be aware of the steep entrance with the car.

They don't have room with a balcony

The view. That is it. We were given a room on the first floor, number 114. The room was right in front of the cleaning staff’s headquarters. Every day at 8 a.m., they would start making noise with cleaning activities and very loud conversations that would not let us sleep. This continued until 3 p.m. I do not recommend this hotel at all for this reason. The staff was very rude and made no effort to show us or explain what the hotel had to offer. We left and moved to another hotel in Lake Albano / Castel Gandolfo.

the ladies at the reception were not very welcoming. (apart from Alessia) , the man the second day was very friendly and helpful. was not able to sleep at night there is no soundproof rooms i could hear every guest checking in and walking past my room.

It had beautiful views but it seems to have become a venue for corporate meetings. No restaurant. Pools not open. No blanket on the bed which made it chilly sleeping. Beds are very firm.

There was 1 very small girl that was very nice to us. 1 pillow, bad bed, small comforter, no heat, rude man and women manager at front desk. No restaurant, just cold breakfast buffet, (coffee machine only) no pool- only used as water feature. Hotel in general seemed like it was used mostly for wedding venues.

Asked for a room with a view and we got one. It was a Mansard/Attic-style room, so looking out the window was only possibly sitting on the bed. But it was still acceptable. We spent most of our time out at the lovely pool and in town eating and exploring the sights. The breakfast is typical Italian breakfast and also had options for Americans who did not want to embrace being Italian for their stay. Coffee machine was outstanding. Staff were well-dressed, well-mannered and very friendly. We felt so at home here. Hotel Castel Vecchio has become our Villa on the Lake. Can't say enough good things about the staff. We had a flawless visit!! We will be back!! I could have had a better room, not an Attico/Mansard room. But honestly it was not a problem. The hotel was booked up and I know they gave us the best available room. We found that we really only slept in the room and spent a majority of our time out and enjoying the property including the Wonderful Pool, Castel Gandolfo, Grottoferratta, Frascati, and the Papal Palace. There really is no negative to be honest.

The view from the hotel was gorgeous, and it was a quick walk to the downtown area. The breakfast spread was also very nice. A few of the workers were helpful. Two male, middle-aged men at the hotel were really unhelpful. One on occasion, we were stranded at the Castel Gandolfo train station late at night, not realizing we wouldn't be able to get an uber or a bus at that time, and we contacted the hotel. Even though we were only probably a five-minute drive down the road for them, the guy at the front desk didn't send anybody to come get us. The most he did was send us a phone number for a taxi driver they use, who wasn't available at the time. We told him this, and he basically said, "Too bad." Eventually we saw somebody else successfully get an Uber, and asked that Uber driver to come back for us, which is how we got to the room. When we got there, the guy behind the front desk said, "You're lucky you got a cab," and I felt like saying, "No thanks to you." Furthermore, the fire alarm needlessly went off three times throughout our short stay there, disrupting everybody in the hotel...twice at around 6 am in the morning and once at midnight for abut 15 minutes. That third time, I didn't even see anybody at the front desk trying to take care of the issue until it had already been going for about five minutes. It just felt like very careless and negligent service.

Clean, very friendly people, high standard of service. I am travelling 100 nights a year for over 20 years. One of the places I strongly recommend
-
Best scenic location and it’s close to the conference venue.
-
The town is perched on a hilltop , overlooking the picturesque lake albano . The hotel is on the same ridge benefitting the view and tranquility. I love hotels that were "done once, done well" even though the design is dated , it exudes quality. Marvellous breakfast. I was there on the 21st April 2025, my birthday , sadly , I'll always remember it for the passing away of the Pontiff.

Breakfast, room and view excellent and staff friendly and educated Nothing all was good
-
The staff is very friendly and helped us cancel one night, which we really appreciated. The location is great, fantastic view especially in the morning sun and a few minutes walk from the town. The style was not really our taste, it felt a bit cold overall. We had wrongly assumed that the indoor pool was in use. The room feels quite small.
