Great breakfast, good selection of bread, cold cuts, cheese etc. plus sweet treats. Camillo makes great cappuccinos. Excellent location with airport bus stop right aaaaoutside, and there are literally hundreds of restaurants and shops within an easy walk. And majestic Mt Etna looming right at the end of the street.

Carmelo is such a nice host, very kind and welcoming. Breakfast was great and so were the facilities. Great location and the room was very spacious and clean. Highly recommended and will surely visit again next time we're in Catania.

The rooms are well located on one of the main streets in Catania and within a short walk of most of the main sites. Comfortable bed and excellent shower. There was a sitting area with balcony with a supply of books. We enjoy the balcony adjoining our room, We were met by our host at the advertised address but than taken across the road to a 5th floor apartment which had been converted into several rooms. The breakfast was basic and was supplied by a rather sullen boy. The room was cleaned daily but there were no other staff on the premises. Unfortunately a neighbouring apartment had a dog which barked loudly for quite long periods.

The location itself was fine, but the walls or doors were very thin, making it easy to hear everything. This made us feel a bit uncomfortable, as the owner’s office was just outside our room, and we were concerned about being overheard. Additionally, the owner smoked in the common area, which caused the smell to linger—a bit unpleasant for non-smokers. While the owner was friendly and helpful, the language barrier (no English spoken) made communication challenging. Overall, it was an okay stay but with some inconveniences.

out of the four nights we were there. Our room was clean two times. One day only the bed was made but fresh towels were not put in the room. The other day we had our do not disturb sign on in the morning, removed it when leaving the room around noon came back at seven in the evening and our room was not cleaned.

We had a wonderful stay at Papali hotel! The host was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our visit. Each morning, we were treated to delicious breakfasts. The room was spotless and very comfortable, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The location is fantastic as well—right on the main street in Catania, making it easy to explore the city. We highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again!

The hotel was very central. The host was very helpful and friendly. He was always eager to help. The breakfast was lovely and everything was extremely fresh. We had a lovely stay and we will definitely return.

The location was great, very central. The room was very clean and comfortable with good amenities. The host was approachable and eager to please.

The owner went out of his way to meet us and welcome when we arrived quite late after a delayed flight. The room was clean, spacious, and in a great location. Right in the main street, 10 minutes walk from the sights. Bus stops were nearby. Most of all, the breakfast was brilliant. Great value.

The host is super friendly and responsive. I think he listens to people's feedback and improves the property and the service. Even though the host didn't speak English, it wasn't a problem to communicate with the help of a translator. The full proper breakfast was served by the host, including fresh pastries bought on his way to the property. We lived in a quadruple room and didn't notice anything bad. Overall, the property and its host made a positive impression on us.
