B&B Casa Carola

An absolutely wonderful stay in Catania! The apartment was spotless, stylish, and very comfortable, with everything we needed for a perfect stay. The location was excellent — close to the city center, restaurants, shops, and all the main attractions, yet still quiet and relaxing. The host was incredibly kind, responsive, and helpful from the first moment until check-out, making us feel truly welcome. We really enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Catania. We would definitely love to come back again!

The place is about 7 minutes to the bus station very convenient. The host gives clear instructions to reach the place. He responds quickly to our requests and questions. The unit is comfortable, and the shared kitchen offers a coffee machine, cookies, tea, and bread.

The host was great , the apartment was lovely and clean. It was great having a kitchen and kettle too.

In the nice kitchen there was everything needed for breakfast. I mostly had my breakfast (coffee and a cigarette) on the adjacent cosy terras, also great for drinking a good glass of whine or a beer in the evening. Location of the B&B is great, on walking distance from everywhere you need or want to go. Owner Gabriele cleaned up my room and bathroom everyday. With a smile.

Amazing B&B, super clean and comfy! the rooms are big and of high standard, the hole B&B is nicely decorated. I felt at home from the first moment. And the host ist super friendly, thanks, see you again! The soundproofing is low, you can hear the neighbours. But that's normal in Italy, gives even the feeling to be a family with the other guests, so it's part of the journey. I kind of liked it :)

The whole apartment was really cute. We really liked the high ceilings. The apartment was generally really modern and clean. The AC was also very convenient. Depending on the room you’re in, the WiFi connection might be quite bad.

The room was nice and clean, there is everything that you need for a short stay. Gabriel was helpful for any additional information that i needed. Location is excellent if you want to stay close to the train and bus station, otherwise is located 30min. walking to the main attractions in Catania. You have to be aware that you need to send a photo of you ID before you come to the B&B. If not you won't be able to stay there. There is a lot of communication with the owner. Breakfast is self served, there is food from the store (for example packed croissants and bread from the store). There is no fruit or vegetables for breakfast.

The room was pleasant, and it was equipped with all basic necessities I would need during the stay. Very good internet bandwith, the host is reactive and welcoming. The hotel has close proximity to the variety of popular points of interest in Catania. Perhaps, inclusion of hot meal meals for breakfast would be an excellent addition to the service, which would cement the position of Casa Carola as one of the best price to quality value B&Bs in Catania.

The bed could use more pillows.

Nice airy room and clean bathroom, balcony, comfy beds and reliable wifi. There is a pleasant covered space in the courtyard where you can sit also Breakfast could have had fresh produce, fruit, cheese etc. Host was in contact a lot but not always helpfully. I was there for a week and I would have expected the room to be properly cleaned sheets to be changed at least once and a better supply of fresh towels than we received.

Gabriele was an excellent host, very attentive and helpful. The accommodation is fantastic, the room was beautifully clean, spacious, very comfortable and in a great location. I would highly recommend! Nothing, everything was perfect.

Was very clean, every day someone from cleaning was in the room. One small inconvenient: the building was in reabilitation and the windows view was not to good and the balcony wasn’ accesibil.

The Owner is very helpful, communicative The access to the house is done by a link sent by the owner, so you need to have active internet on your phone to get in The B&B is actually an old house with 4 rooms and a shared kitchen.. the other guests were very silent and we were not disturbed by anyone The room is nice, renovated with everything you need and very clean Good Wifi Relatively close to the railway station Renovation works at the building facade happening, therefore the window view is kind of blocked Breakfast incuded- is actually help yourself with packaged croissant or other pastry etc from the kitchen - but for us it was ok

The B&B is well located, the style of the room was nice, and the bed was comfortable. The quality-price ratio was okay. The breakfast is poor, consisting of packaged products and nothing comparable to a Sicilian breakfast. As a suggestion, the owner could consider arranging a partnership with a nearby bar to offer an improved breakfast. Regarding cleanliness, we observed that breakfast dishes from the kitchen were not properly cleaned, the bathroom taps remained uncleaned since our arrival, showing stains and marks, and the headboard of the bed was dusty on the top. Communication: Dealing with the owner has been challenging since before our arrival, exemplified by discussions about the city tax payment that seemed to be included twice in the payment. His strong willingness to help, welcome people, and caring attitude towards guests was so intense that it made us feel under pressure and overly observed. We found it unsettling to learn that he was checking the security cameras to determine our presence at the B&B. We felt monitored when he mentioned that he had noticed, through the security cameras, that we had left the corridor light on. According to the law, security cameras in Italy are required to be indicated with appropriate signs, but these were not present. We were taken aback when he entered the room and inquired about the relocation of a few items, which were actually still in the room, but he hadn't noticed their unchanged position. During conversations with the owner, he consistently brought up his profession, seemingly to assert his superiority and validate his opinions. His tone of voice was loud and not colloquial, with a poor inclination to easily find a solution by also listening to us as guests. We didn't feel welcome, but almost annoyed by his daily messages where he was asking if everything was going well or if we needed something like toilet paper or clean towels. The house rules mentioned daily cleaning, but it wasn't clear if it was assured. Given the daily cleaning, we anticipated towels and toilet paper to be replenished without having to ask.
