We loved B&B Opera, and hope to visit again. Lovely accommodations, friendly, helpful host, excellent staff, fabulous central location. 10 out of 10!!

Ate several breakfast very good, Constantine gave us great advice on sights and arranged tours to Mt. Etna, Taramino and Syracuse. Neighborhood was a good location for seeing Catania. Enjoyed the place, centrally located near the Bellini Opera House - worth visiting even if you probably need to reserve seats to see an opera. Catania is a busy and looks a little rough, but very safe. Traffic is busy, drivers fast, but courteous in stopping when pedestrians cross. We felt at first we took our lives in our hands every time we crossed, but after a day or so, we simply stepped off the curb and drivers stopped or swerved around us.

Don't judge a book by its cover. The stay was exceptional, staff was very friendly and willing to accommodate any needs. Its very close to piazza del Duomo, plenty of restaurants and places to visit! Location can be difficult to find parking, use public transportation if possible. There's quite a few floors of stairs, but nothing too challenging.

Interesting, spacious rooms and excellent location. Communal outdoor/indoor spaces looked inviting. The host was accommodating and helpful. There were a lot of stairs which made getting luggage in was a bit challenging.

The property is well maintained and our room was very clean. Constantino was very helpful in getting us checked in and acclimated to Catania. His son Alberto was also very helpful and had a wonderful personality. We asked for the lowest floor possible as my wife does not do well with a lot of stairs and they accommodated us with the room on their 1st level (you go up the entrance steps, about 30 total and then you are in their lovely courtyard). Nothing, just know before you book there is no elevator. You are very close to restaurants and little sundry markets.

In particular, we enjoyed the breakfasts they offer, which are truly exceptional! We had delicious cappuccinos, a freshly made omelet, freshly baked croissants, and fruit juice every day There was also fresh fruit, sliced tomatoes, olives, yogurt, rolls with olive oil, and more to choose from, all for 9 euros each per day. The breakfasts are well worth the price (actually, they are a bargain!) and we really enjoyed eating our breakfasts on the outdoor terrace in the cool morning air. The people who run this B&B are terrific and they will take great care of you. Here's an example: we were planning to take the train to Palermo at the end of our stay, which would have required us to take 2 separate trains (there is no direct train to Palermo) and a taxi when we got to Palermo, which would have taken us more than 4 hours of traveling. However, the owner's son, Alberto, agreed to drive us directly to our hotel in Palermo for less money and in about half the time it would have taken us otherwise! Obviously, we would highly recommend this B&B to anyone who doesn't need to use an elevator to get to the upper floors.

Lovely room, Alberto made an effort for a personal welcome. We had to leave early for the airport, but Alberto offered to bring us by car. Friendly and timely. Great experience. Lots of stairs, nothing we could not manage but good to be aware of.

We fell in love with this place. It felt like home. It's so charming and cosy. The host is very kind and helpful, we received lots of useful advices. All the staff is amazing. Location is fantastic, everything is near. Breakfast is wonderful, mornings in the fabulous courtyard are truly unforgettable. This place is a lovely hidden gem in that big city. We will be more than happy to come back again!
