The staff were super-friendly, helpful and all the communication and check-in / check-out procedures were smooth and simple. Air conditioning worked fine. The location is convenient, a breakfast place nearby was great. The shower cabin was quite small. Electrical sockets were a bit flimsy.

We were lucky to be able to get a relatively last minute booking at Casa Elide, which was very easy to get to from Catania Airport - being a few hundred metres from one of the AliBus stops. Valentina was easy to contact and met us at the apartment to show us our room etc. The area seemed very quiet and was close to some really great menu options. Air conditioning worked really well. As is the case with older apartments, we found the shower was very hard to get warm water for more than a few seconds. There were quite a few mosquitos - but it was quite a warm and muggy night! When we stayed, were were given tickets for a breakfast at a cafe very close by - which we found a little hard to work out whether we sat down first and then ordered etc.

The whole room is warm, bright, clean and comfortable. The bathroom is very clean. The location is close to the city bus terminal. We are very satisfied with our stay.

We enjoyed staying this property 2 days. Strongly recommend my friends to select this property if they have a chance to visit Catania Sicily, Italy.

Good and plentiful breskfasts.

Great location, very helpful owner, good breakfast. The bed was uncomfortable and I would have liked a mosquito net above the bed. The mosquitoes were very active at night and got in the way of quality sleep.

Breakfast was good but it was the same everyday.A variety would have been preferred. Breakfast. Room needed repairs.

The place was really clean, and there was a lot of thought and love that went into the whole apartment. The best part is the kindness of the host and all the help and knowledge he shared with us. The shower could work better.

Our host Aldo and Carlo made us feel comfortable. They were very helpful in answering any question we had and very informative even in the smallest details was well answered. Just a bit noisy from the traffic but once you are sound asleep you will hear nothing more.

Lovely European breakfast with typical Sicilian pastries. Carlo looked after us wonderfully, with great advice for exploring the local area. The building is typical for Catania with a fabulous inner courtyard and high ceilings. You might not have all the modern luxuries but you get an authentic experience and it's great value for money. There is no parking lot associated to the B&B but the hosts gave us clear instruction where to park on the street with good tips and watch outs like not parking in the main square on Sundays due to the local farmer's market, which is worth a visit.

We "got used" to stay there and the rooms were quiet. A rather basic place compaired to the photos. The host should go to a panaderia and buy some good fresh bread in the morning instead of serving the boring white sandwich bread from a supermarket!

i absolutely love the kindness of the owner and staff. they are absolutely amazing. The rooms were clean and neat At first when i arrived i did not think it looked like that on the outside, was quite confused. If anyone should flush the toilet or use their shower it makes a very loud noise. Every time my heart skips a beat when that noise is going off.

The host was pretty friendly and nice. Other guests locked us from the outside and prevented us from the remote check-in but our host was quickly there for us. The apartment itself is at a relatively close distance to the city center. The first bad impression was the building with ongoing (but temporal) works on it. However, the staircase leading to the apartment is damaged and might lead to someone being injured. We had an unpleasant situation with one of the neighbors in the building yelling something in Italian to us, which was quite scary considering the situation happening in the building hall. Next, the room and apartment don't reflect the photos on Booking and do look like they would have good use of renovation. The furniture is quite old, with chairs and the bed being extremely uncomfortable. The bathroom is clean, but as in most of the southern Sicilian cities, they forbid throwing toilet paper in the toilet, which many people might find disturbing (as we did). In continuation, towels were not changed for us for 3 days!? in addition to old furniture, the air conditioner was also old and not doing its job very well. Lastly, room doors have some "prehistoric era" key which makes it look like it's trivial to get into any room, and of course, makes you fear for your stuff. Although the host was extremely friendly, he has limited knowledge of English. Also, breakfast could be organized as a self-service rather than him being near guests and making the situation a bit weird.
