Hotel Centrum

We stayed there only one night but everything was very good. Stuff was very nice, found transportation to airport for us very early in the morning. Beds were big and comfortable, air conditioners worked well, there were a mini fridges in both rooms and good wi-fi. Bathrooms were big and very clean. Rooms were kinda small but it was ok for us. Location was also good, 10-15 min on foot from train station and same to city centre. To the second floor (the first floor where the rooms are) you can get only by stairs so if you have big suitcase it can be hard but i think the staff would help.

Very friendly and helpful front desk staff. Great breakfast. Bathroom was updated with a great shower. The beds and room itself could use an update.

It was a charming little hotel in a good location walkable to the center of city. I came in only for one day because I needed the airport, but I could’ve stayed a little longer.

Clean and comfy beds. The AC in the rooms worked great. The lobby where the breakfast is was so hot. Like stifling.

Very nice, helpful front desk staff, clean and pleasant room, and great breakfast. About a ten minute walk from the Duomo.

Staff is awesome, always willing to assistance you. Rooms are spacious. Old building that has been renovated. Working elevator. Excellent A/C unit you can control remote. Excellent breakfast. Best coffee. It has a working safe with digital code. Walking distance to Cathedral, Fish Market. On day one i saw a little roach in our room. IHotel was in front of the police building. Scary looking building that needs a lot of love. However, i always felt safe going in and out of the hotel.

The room was old world comfortable with the stunning old fashioned windows, the a/c worked very well and the bathroom was modern exceptional. Guests of the hotel enjoy a complimentary robust breakfast with a large selection of different foods. The location is perfect for exploring the city center. The best part of Hotel Centrum is the staff! They are friendly, helpful and went above and beyond for me. When we checked in the person at the front desk pulled out a map and showed us the main piazza and the best shopping/eating streets. He also recommended 3 trattorias. We only had time to go to one of them and it was amazing, we loved the food and hospitality there. When we left and were at the airport I discovered I didn't have my passport! I panicked but fortunately after calling the hotel a staff member went right to my room and found it. The passport was dispatched to the airport immediately and I was able to make my flight! A nightmare mistake on my part turned into a minor mishap that was resolved by the conscientious and remarkable people at Hotel Centrum. I am so happy I stayed here.

The very best impression was the lady receptionist when we arrived, she was super friendly and helpful. Perfect location for us who had only 2 nights there. Room was neat and clean, spacey bathroom and breakfast was just great for the value we paid for staying there. The elevator, was quite small and shaky.

The staff at the hotel was friendly and fantastic. They helped us secure a parking spot, which turned out to be fantastic. Furthernmore, they aided with resturant recommendations (another winner), as well as aided us in finding the spots to visit and what not to see. Great location within Catania.

Convenient location. Friendly staff. Good breakfast buffet. Balcony had beautiful views to the back. The room had only one small picture for decor. It was a little stark.

The staff at this hotel were wonderful. Breakfast was quite good - lots of options. A few good restaurants nearby are worth checking out - I Santi Pizzaria and Trattoria da Patrizia. Location is a short walk from the train station, which is why we chose it. Also close to the Teatro Massimo Bellini, which is worth a morning tour if, like us, you are unable to get tickets to a performance. Room was not as big as we'd expected from the online photos - but we had just enough room. Catania is a bit "rougher" than other cities we visited in eastern Sicily. Price was the highest we paid in Sicily, but not the best value.

The staff were friendly and made me feel at home right away, giving tips on the location, places to eat, etc. The room was clean and well-appointed with a small balcony and comfortable bath.
