The location is great, in heart of city center. Also the building is amazing, old but very characteristic. Room was nice and clean. Upper bunk bed was noisy but staff is very helpful, moved me lower bed when i asked. Common areas are great and variable. Balconies are great with city view. Terrace is also so good with its scenery and it's bar and music. Common areas near reception is great with its decoration and very comfortable to spend time. Lovely, friendly and cheerful staff. Definitely will stay here if i visit Catania again.

There was only one toilet available in the women's bathroom and the lock was pretty sketchy. The location is good, but it is also on a busy street and can get loud at night with music playing from the street. Earplugs (or being a sound sleeper) are essential.

We had to open the window from the room because the smell from the bathroom wasn’t great.

Two floor bed, but the structure was weak, so any movement in the bed down will create heavy movement for the person sleeping up.

The staff were excellent! Always there to help! Good breakfast and really enjoyed the free pasta dinner. Bed was comfortable. A lot of community space which was well used. A very good place to stay. Nothing

Fabulous location! Signage could be better

Can’t say enough good things about this hostel. The cool interior in a classic palace, the friendly staff, the hottest location with volcano rooftop views, the free breakfast and dinners…truly a home away from home. I arrived just when fever dream St Agatha festivities started, so won’t say anything about noise haha. It was magical! Thank you :)) Nothing

AMAZING LOCATION. The view from the window and the terrace was breathtaking. Loved it. Amazing free breakfast with coffee AND fresh orange juice. Sturdy stairs for the top bunk and privacy curtains. Would definitely stay again and recommend. Bathroom was in the corridor.

Mili n Wes helped me a lot ! 1) B’fast time is 0800, too late, please change it to 0630 since U have night shift . When u move early, so we can take it 2) Dinner is 0800, too late, what if U want to go bed early. Change it to 1830 or 1900

The people are wonderful, the conditions are very comfortable, and there is access to a rooftop terrace as well. This place is truly special. I highly recommend it. Ten out of ten.

Location, overal vibe, was amazing :)

Location was perfect as it was within a walking distance to Catania Train station I asked for a lower bed (due to health conditions) in a 4-bed female room and was given that I arrived at the hostel very late and I thought the instructions to access the hostel were not clear enough to me...had to call the reception staff to ask them to open the entrance door downstairs The reception is located on a higher floor without elevator which means carrying heavy luggage upstairs just to receive the access card because the room was located in an adjacent building, so I had to carry my heavy luggage downstairs and again upstairs in the other building ....hmmm... ? The room itself was fine and seemed clean, but the bathroom had a severe plumbing issue which caused the water to flow continuously in the toilet all night, the noise was pretty loud and it was hard to sleep. furthermore, I spotted cockroaches on the floor of the room shortly after arriving I get it, these are ancient buildings but at 40$ for a night for a bunk bed, this Hostel should get pest management control regularly... I only stayed for a night and had to leave by 7 AM the following morning to catch the train to Palermo - Now here comes the kicker: Just to hand over my access card, I had to take my heavy luggage downstairs, leave the building I was located at and then carry my luggage again upstairs in the other building before being finally able to take it downstairs again and leave the premises...Realizing the inefficiency of this whole check-in /check-out business and suffering from scoliosis, I guess I was pretty desperate to streamline the sheer absurdity of the process. I called the reception staff from downstairs kindly asking her to come down so that I can hand over the card to her directly - she said "impossible" because she was the only one at the reception at that time...it was just shortly after 7 AM and coming several floors with no luggage would have been a matter of 3 minutes. But...okay... I am truly baffled at all the positive/stellar reviews I have read about this place. I personally feel, this was no value for the $$$ I paid.

It was in a perfect location, right in the centre of the centrale. It had a roof top bar that hosted a happy hour for hostel guests. The location was a bit slow on responding to my third party booking app messaging and WhatsApp when I was trying to get information before arrival so I was a bit worried at first but once there, they were really attentive, helpful and offered us a complimentary breakfast and pasta dinner and was always available 24/7. The building of course is an older building so there is a LOT of stairs (no elevator) and flushing TP is not allowed (Heads up ladies) but there is a bidet and the staff come everyday to clean and through out the garbages but it’s architecture of being an older building is what I wanted so it is all part and parcel. I met a lot of lovely people there and there were people of all ages staying at the hostel. I really was comfortable in my large one bedded room. Thanks to all the staff!

The place is rather old and needs some renovation It is a bit dirty and there is no lift

The hostel is wonderful and has very good and clean facilities, with nice spaces for sharing with people from other countries. The staff are excellent, offering a good breakfast and free pasta in the evening. It has a rooftop with an exceptional view of the historic center and also of Volcano Etna, and there offer excellent cocktails.. Oh, and there's also happy hour for guests. The room I had was in perfect condition. Definitely one of my favorite places in the world to host.
