Salvatore was a wonderful host. He sent us a WhatsApp message before we arrived, was prompt with keys on arrival, and gave us some excellent tips for places to go, eat and see. Created a comfortable and welcoming space - and kept an eye on our wifi to make sure we were all good. The apartment is an amazing location, close to transport, shops, food, park (and market) and was exactly what we were hoping for. Not much. If you are someone who needs specific pillows, etc. I'd bring something else along for personalised comfort.

Very well located. Close to the fish market. Safe neighbourhood. Long distance bus stop nearby is a huge plus. The owner is very nice and helpful. He gives us recommendations about the food, restaurants, what to visit and how to get to different parts of Sicily.

It was a fantastic 6 for our family that we have spent at Alcala Apartment. Salvo is a super host gabe us all the information we need and managed our program as well. The apartment is a great location near to Borsalino bus station and to the center.

Great location- close to all the sites. Salvo is the best host, offering recommendations for food and nightlife. I had an issue with the wifi and he responded and fixed the issue immediately. Everything was great! If you're sensitive to sound- it is in the middle of the city so you'll hear city life, just bring ear plugs.

Clean and fully equipped (iron, hairdryer , kitchen utensils) apartament, very good contact with owner. Perfect localization.

Position almost in the historical center is super. A few steps to fish market which is very interesting and you can try many Sicilian specialities. Salvatore is very very friendly and allways prepared to help with traveling planing or solve any problems. His knowlage of Sicilia is perfect and wide. The nearest neighborhood is busy and noisy because of cars. But Sicilians use cars or motorbikes everytime and everywhere so you can not hide from it :).

Contact was made with Salvatore with a meeting time we was greeted and welcomed. He helped us with our luggage and extra bonus was the lovely cake and coffee waiting. This host couldn’t do enough for us. His knowledge and friendliness was amazing and one of the best hosts we have had. Nothing to fault.

Great location to town centre. One bus station 5 min walk (eg to airport, Syracuse, beach). Other bus station towards Etna and south 20 min walk. Nice view. Plenty of space in apartment. Most appliances (air con, washing machine)worked fine. Was good to have host showing us the room and advise us on various trips. WiFi wasn't working when we arrived but got it going quickly for a few days. Last few days it wasn't working at all. Toilet flush temperamental. Quite a few stairs to go up but we knew that when we booked it, so mentally prepared...

There was plenty of space for three people in the air conditioned rooms. Breakfast was available near the accommodation, within walking distance. The host was very nice and provided a lot of information regarding the city and what is worth seeing. All means of public transport were within walking distance. The neighboring streets were a bit busy, but that is if you want to stay close to the city center.

Amazing place located near the historical center and bus station. The rooms were clean and elegantly furnished. The host is an exceptional person, very kind and helpful. We really felt at home there.

Convenient location, clean, spacious, bright and with well-appointed kitchen and bath. Nice historical character and charm! Just a bit noisy, but that’s the trade-off for a convenient location near great small restaurants.

A great place to stay in Catania, very close to the city center and the fish market. Salvo, the host, is a great guy. He is very helpful and will tell you anything you need to know about Catania.
