Our room had a cute “terrace” but we couldn’t use if the air conditioning was on because the heat from the machine was awful
-
Bathroom had issues with getting warm water in the shower, and you were warned not to throw toalet paper in the toilet.

The breakfast was ok I guess and the personnel was rather friendly and professional. It takes only a short while on foot to go to the old town from Macalle and visit the most relevant historical sites. The BnB has seen much better days ... There was mold in the fridge, around the shower (moss as well), dirty bed covers etc. For the price and based on the majority of opinions I was hoping for something much better.

The only good thing is the owner who was very nice and polite. The lift is very old probably from the 70's. No light in the lift had to go in dark. We had two rooms booked for one night and arrived at 10.30 pm. One room had no private bathroom but were given a bath room outside the room in the corridor which was very dirty and we did not use. Room lights very dim. The light had only one bulb from four. Mattress very old. The other room had a bath room but you cannot put any paper in the toilet as we were told it will block. Flushing hums all night. We left early and did not have breakfast. Overall the BB needs a major refurbishment as every things is super outdated.

All well, Friendly guy, Nice room, bathroom, breakfast and free parking well advised by the host City center in 15 min walking -

The owner ( i forgot his name ?) was really really friendly and helpful. The room was clean, big. There was everything that we needed, small refrigerator, locker, TV, air-conditioning, etc. I would recommend. Bathroon was not in the room. We were using the bathroom only for ourselves, but it would've been better if it was in the room, especially at night.

Our host was exceptionally helpful , our flight was delayed, and he waited to see us in, making recommendations for a place to eat late at night. His communication was excellent. Breakfast was perfectly fine to start your day , especially good coffee. The bed was comfy and air conditioning good. We were not too keen on the area, especially arriving late at night , the area and the apartment were both a bit run down, and the building was hard to find. There was no on street parking on this occasion due to street cleaning - Etna was sending out ash ! We were directed to a parking garage for €15 and to be honest, we're glad we parked the car inside due to the ash, and it generally felt safer.

The host was very friendly, flexible and patient with our late arrival.

The overall experience is very positive, Luciano is great, communicative and accommodating landlord, the apartment is quite close to the city center, big plus is the air conditioning which is really needed during hot summer days. The only thing I didn't like that much was a bit moldy bathroom.

Luciano the host was excellent even tho we never met him in person. He replied quickly to all communications and was very helpful. Mattress was very hard, the entire room needed an update especially the bathroom. The small bar fridge was not cold and when I tried to use the safe the lock came off in my hand! Towels, sheets, etc were very well worn. The breakfast room was dingy (we did not have breakfast so can’t comment on that) and there were no staff in the building. It seemed more like a boarding house than a hotel room. The door was very thin and glass panes had been spray painted over. I did not feel like it was very secure.

It's about 15-20min walking to the city center, but there's free public parking spaces in the street (the main reason why I chose this B&B). The breakfast was also good for me with sweet and salty pastry. The bathroom isn't pleasant: it makes too much noise, the towels should have been replaced already a long time ago, and the general aspect isn't good enough. I read a few comments about it, but I expected it to have been changed already.

Luciano was very kind and helpful. We had Sicily pastry for breakfast which was very nice. The room was spacious, equipped with a TV and AC. Around 25 min to the center walking, but not difficult path. We enjoyed our stay and would return!
