Wasn’t this terrible when we stayed there couple years ago. Going down

Room looked like was brand new.

Rm was odd. Very noisy doors in master rm and front door. Woke up baby that made the stay poor. Master rm was hotter then living area with pull out couch that was dirty.

Stayed for a few nights on Shenandoah road trip. Older hotel with comfortable rooms and warm and accommodating staff. Breakfast was varied and refilled quickly, including real (not powdered) eggs and the best buttery grits I’ve had in a while. Not fancy by any stretch but absolutely a solid choice. Convenient to UVA, Monticello, many nice restaurants and the craft beverage trail. Next to a greenway, which was a plus when traveling with our dog.

I stayed 5 nights and I loved this Hotel. I will definitely be staying here in the future. Hotel is perfectly themed from outside to lobby area, and breakfast hall. Rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast in the morning was amazing, beyond your standard hotel breakfast with a huge amount of options to choose from. Coffee and tea available all day in Lobby area. After 4:00pm they have English tea and cookies in the lobby for guests. The pool was big, clean, and perfect temperature. Plenty of parking. Everything is so close-UVA, historic attractions, parks, shopping, dining, etc. Laundry onsite $4 wash & $4 dry. Quarters only. Front desk was very pleasant and helpful during my entire stay. Definitely recommend staying here

Perfect location for those visiting the University of Virginia. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating as we were visiting to move our daughter into her dorm. Great breakfast:)

The price was great! Things felt a bit outdated but for the price, no issues. 1 ice machine was broken and the treadmill was broken. Doors sticking also. Pool and exercise room were great! Breakfast was phenomenal! Look forward to staying here again. Close to everything we needed too.

Everything was amazing as well as the spacious indoor pool.

The rooms are not cleaned daily. There was no shower gel in the bathroom. Not all power outlets next to bed were working. Breakfast food looked gray and unappetizing. The room with ice machine had horrible garbage smell for two days we were there. From the positives: convenient location for UVA visit and nearby Bodo bagels.

There was no ice on any of the floors, when inquiring was informed all ice machines were broken at this time, The night we stayed there was a huge storm this is when my husband was looking for ice, only one elevator was working and the power was surging causing the elevator th surge which was causing the elevator to surge, so he came back the room and said forget ice ha was going to bed. I went over to look out the window lended in on the glass and it gave way with me. Neverieced anythingr like this before, Sincerely. Patricia

Superb

King suite with door facing the back of the building had very strange, musty smell. Decor is gray and gray and beige, with no window in the sitting area, creating dark and depressing atmosphere. Room was hard to find (check-in staff did not tell us that you had to go to the back of the building to find it). Perhaps rooms in the main building are better? Breakfast was good.
