Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Charlottesville Downtown/University Area

The shower was disgusting with so much hair stuck in the drain the water would not go down. Had to pull it out because I was already in it. Almost made me vomit.

Nice property up to Marriott standards. Nice clean room, attentive staff, good breakfast. Minor problems with TV remote missing then internet connection issue, room needed toilet paper. Staff helped to remedy.

This was not my first time staying at Fairfield. I have no issues with anything. Love that they serve breakfast.

Very comfortable, rooms were nice. Breakfast bar was good. No trash bags in room.

The staff were accommodating. The breakfast was horrible. The eggs were placed out with lots of water in the serving dish the oatmeal was lumpy, the sausage looked and taste under cooked. The fridge in the room cuts off, leaving items placed very warm. Didn't have trash bags in wastebaskets. someone came in my room while I was out a stole little personal items, eye drops and travel body care products, I could tell that someone had went through my bags and clothing left on the bed.

The location wasn’t too bad. It was within short driving distance to downtown. We could have walked but the time of year we went it was too hot. Plenty of parking. Staff were friendly. There was always a big humming noise that I would hear, mostly when I was trying to sleep. Not sure it was the room we were in and if it was the HVAC unit but it was rather loud. Beds were super soft, too soft for my liking but I know you can’t appease everyone.

Fairfield provides a basic, generally clean room. I use them quite often. Would stay here again. Free parking on-site is a real plus since it was about $200 for a 14-hour stay.

The gentleman who checked us in @ 8PM was lovely. I asked about linking this stay to our Bonvoy account and he was able to help us with that.

It’s a no frills hotel. Great value for the price. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. It’s very clean and the included breakfast was delicious! We did encounter some issues and the staff tried their very best to resolve.

Our room was nice and clean, but the hallway looked full of chips or food. The breakfast room was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The front desk attendant was not friendly to another customer and to a coworker. It was uncomfortable to see.

Their were several erroneous charges to my pre-paid room to the tune of ~150.00 and they have been completely unresponsive to my phone calls and voicemail messages to try to resolve the issue

A family member had surgery at UVA and Fairfield Inn was located in a great location from the hospital. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Our stay was really great. Clean room, friendly front desk staff. The breakfast was really good, too!
