Lis Hotel Chiangmai

Clean, quiet, close to old town. Staff was very friendly. Delicious breakfast and snacks available throughout the day.

Spacious, clean, comfortable rooms in a peaceful setting - great pool, although a bit small. Wonderful breakfast and a gracious staff always welcoming and ready to help. The location was quiet and not far from the action, especially if you take a taxi or Grab. We like to walk, so it was a bit out of the way for us, especially in the heat of March. Everything was great except it was a bit away from the center.

Excellent staff, very friendly and professional. I liked also the breakfast room which has some free coffee and a bit of food available around the clock for the small hunger in-between. The location of the hotel is not too far from the old town (15min walk) yet it is in a rather quiet area. The hotel is relatively new, modern and clean. The rooms have almost no space for storage, you literally live out from your suitcase. For 2 pax in a room, this is too cramped. I also disliked the sink outside the shower/toilet area next to the bed - this is not well thought through. Walls and doors are rather thin. The pool is very small and only useful to sit in to cool down, no swimming possible. With 5 people in there it is full. With children playing you better leave, it's just too small. I was there during Chinese New Year and while I understand the prices are high, my room was still significantly overpriced for what the hotel offered.

Was amazed at the thoughtfulness of this boutique hotel, offering amenities like onsen, yoga, spa, and their food was super good. They also have drinks and some light snacks and food free to consume 24/7. Perfect location also near the airport, and also near old city

The staff were lovely and accommodating. When I woke at 0400 due to time zone changes they were happy to turn the coffee on for me. The breakfast was incredible. Thai dishes as well as western. During the day they offered complimentary fruit, yogurt and ice cold water. The pool was clean and welcoming. The location so great - very close to the Saturday night walking market.

The hotel is beautiful. It's of a small road about a mile south of old town gate where there is a lot happening (the markets and street food scene is happening in this area). The complimentary breakfast spread is amazing. It's easily the best complimentary breakfast I've ever had at a hotel. They have both western staples like waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon as well as Thai food. The pork larb and chicken stir fry were both delicious. They change it up daily. They also have several items including cut fruit, yogurt & granola, overnight oats, to help yourself throughout the day in the fridge and sticky rice wrapped in banana leaf at room temp on the counter. They had small touches that were thoughtful including endless supply of glass water bottles available for guests anytime. The staff are extremely helpful and always around if you need anything. There were bike rental parking station on site, that can be used all over the city. nothing

There was no place to put anything in the room (no drawers) You're forced to live out of your suitcase. There's also no shelf at all in the bathroom (just a very small shelf above the sink in the room). The room in general was small.

Very clean, calm, welcoming space, a short walk from the old city and short ride from the airport. There were some tiny ants but they were not really a problem

Cute simplistic, modern style with a great breakfast The shower is poorly made. The bathroom floor would always flood. My room smelled very musty because of this issue , which is a really bad sign because probably has mold in the walls.

We had an excellent stay at Lis Hotel Chiangmai. The service was outstanding and the staff were always kind and helpful (they also helped us arrange tours and transportation). The rooms were spotless, very comfortable, and felt fresh with new-looking furniture. The location is very convenient, close enough to downtown to get anywhere easily, but slightly away from the busy/noisy streets, so it’s perfect for resting. We also loved the small thoughtful touches: 24/7 water available at reception, including cold bottled water, plus a snack corner with noodle cups, cereal, yogurt, etc. Those details made our stay extra convenient. Honestly, the only “problem” is that we stayed only 4 days… and now we wish we had booked a much longer stay ? Everything was excellent.

Nothing to complain

This was my second time staying at Lis, and I still think it’s a great value option. It’s a bit removed from the main tourist areas in central Chiang Mai, which I actually prefer. The neighborhood is quieter and more relaxed. The rooms are minimalist but bright and flooded with natural light, which makes them feel more open and inviting. The small pool serves as a lovely centerpiece and adds a more elevated energy to the property (though it’s not quite small and not very functional for swimming). The staff couldn’t be kinder. They truly make the experience.Also, the breakfast, while simple, was pretty decent. I found the beds to be quite hard and extremely uncomfortable, which makes it hard to stay more than a couple of nights. If the beds were improved, it would easily be one of the best value stays in Chiang Mai.

Great place food good sleep and peace. It’s quiet and comfortable. Breakfast is not great though.

Good breakfast No hot shower, no room cleaning due to miscommunication, safety deposit box difficult to set up, no water kettle in the room. On the second day we could move to another room where hot shower was available.
