Amora Hotel Tapae Chiang Mai

This hotel has a really good location in Chiang Mai, We were able to do several things walking, supor easy to go to Sunday night market from this hotel. We received a big Room and everything was confortable. My main point is to do not haveing cheese in the breakfast. I know it sounds silly, but I was used to eat chease with Eggs or with Ham, but we had no cheese. Next time, I will probably not include breakfast.

Being a muslim the only problem I had was pork I think the management should think about the Muslim clients and make a different table set up for Muslim clients where it would mention halal and non halal food

The hotel is ok not bad for people who are looking for a place to sleep at the end of the day The rooms are so old and dated, the walls have water stains, shower is old and has yellow water marks. We asked for an extra bed and the mattress was hard as rock and dirty

Location is good, a ways out of central Bangkok but easy to get around.

i stayed for 1 night, it is indeed near to the night bazaar. The hotel location i'd consider it strategic. Unit includes bathtub , and breakfast selection is great. could be doing some renovation to relift the image. It's a bit rundown. The price can stay for much newer hotel near Maya mall.

Some of the front of house were not very friendly. It felt like they were doing you a favor.

The hotel is grand the rooms are cleaned every day.

Wonderful hotel. Great location. Good value for money. After 36 hours of travel I really needed to get to my room and they wouldn't let me in one minute before 2:00 p.m. Then made me wait an extra 15 minutes once 2pm finally arrived

The staff, like most all Thai were gracious, kind, positive and helpful. The location was both great but also infrequently not great, see info next. The hotel had no control over this though. The room arrangement was exactly what we were looking for, a sitting room, bedroom, pool and breakfast. Referenced above, please be aware that at the gate there are many events often on Sunday night involving loud music and lots of traffic making it hard to get a Grab easily. Walk around to the street behind for pick up. Our room was on the same side as the gate so the music was super loud even with windows closed. The 5K run event which started at 3:30AM had laser lights and loud music, woke us up. But keep in mind the hotel has no control over this. On the same side as the gate is a children’s school, the lady with the microphone was talking for long amounts of time. Delightful to watch the kids, but the loud talking was not enjoyable. With respects to the hotel proper, sadly it is not maintained. The lobby is not representative of the condition of the rooms or hallways. Do wear your shoes at all times, do be mindful of surfaces and fabrics as in our experience they were not cleaned frequently enough. Dents in walls, holes, mismatched paint, old fabrics coming apart, sad condition all ways around. The pool….it was over 90 degrees daily for weeks, but only pigeons used it for drinking. It was freezing cold the sun never reaches it. The buffet offered a wide selection of foods but in general the buffet dishes were cold, lots of pork and seafood as well. The fresh cooked egg station, toaster and peanut butter were what saved us.
