Run down rooms with no outlets and toilet barely flushed. Wifi in room did not work. Poor location.

Staff very friendly and helpful, hotel location is good as well! The hotel is quite old, if they upgrade it, perhaps will get more people to stay and enjoy the hotel since it is quite comfy

What I like most is location and facilities. Breakfast is quite simple and plain. Comparing with its cost is high vs Long Beach Cha-Am. There is no bacon or pork or beef. It is quite short period of time staying one night then it is not able to rate.

Nice staffs and good location. Facikities are some old fashioned.

Entrance hall - Felt fancy. Piano and a few fish made a nice atmosphere. Location - It was near the main centre of Chiang Mai. You do need a taxi to get to the south night markets but they are cheap. Gym and Swimming pool - Very large and there is a staff member to help you with the weights...I mean to give you a towel. Room - large with good insulation. Not hot or too cold. Breakfast - No chef to make fresh food. Mostly fruit. Bread and cereal was an option. I seemed to have only cereal as the other food didn't appeal to me and I can eat a lot of different food! Breakfast room - Large but with all doors open meaning many Mosquitos. I want to eat my chocolate cereal without having to go full Jackie Chan to kill mosquitos. Bedroom - There is a door within your room to go to the next guests room (yes it's locked). This meant you could hear the other guests very easily. I am with my wife. With little sound protection...on our honeymoon. Pool - Damaged chairs meant you could not lay on them.

I gasped when I first pushed the door and beheld a vast lobby centered with numerous Victorian furniture. This is a hotel with a grand history, and albeit slightly aged, still maintained her dignity and charm. The room was enormous, and I have never seen such a humongous bed! I told my son he could have swum laps in it. I slept like a baby. Those black out curtains really work, and the floors were clean...the throws were folded into bows on the bed. Even toiletry holders were so handsome I took pictures of them. Felt really pampered for the price. The staff were so kind, especially one particular gentleman. He's always swift to help me out when I struggle with my luggage near the stairs. Unlike a particular home stay that I tried earlier, no cab had a problem locating me here. There is a Chinese restaurant that serves dim sum buffet at a really affordable price. And *no mosquitoes nor ants, which is a plus in Chiang Mai. Kudos to the management for such painstaking maintenance of the place. The Breakfast was supposed to be intercontinental buffet for 280 THB. But it changed to a set meal for the same price the next day. I had it once and there were fruit flies (I think) that took off when I pick up the salads. A young roach visited me on the table as well. This restaurant seems to be independent from the hotel, I'm not sure, hence, I wouldn't lump my review of them with the hotel's.

Location is awesome. Near to the old city but away from the hustle and bustle. It is a older hotel so don't expect W or Movenpick BUT for the price, it is awesome. Usable swimming pool and good dim sum buffet dinner. Hot water, clean sheets and aircon in a huge room (old style hotel)... nothing much to ask for more for under THB1,000 per night. I did not like the grumpy old farang in the lobby pushing all the local staff around.

A classic Thai hotel. Clean linens are room. Few amenities. Ample breakfast included. The shower heats quickly and very good water pressure. There is a photo showing a large modern hotel with a large pool. Why? The hotel was impressive 20 years ago, but shows it its age.
