Hongkhao Village

The minute you enter you feel calm and like stepping into a spa. The lush greenery, trickling water and friendly staff made the atmosphere amazing. The breakfast was lovely. Like most hotels, there’s never enough hooks and shelves. It’s a bit of a ways from the night markets but nothing a Grab can’t fix.

Beautiful, accommodating, relaxing…almost fell asleep outside just relaxing! Breakfast was lovely! We tried to stay longer but they didn’t have availability. But sent us off with a small gift and their apologies!

Refreshing swimming pool. There was an odour in the bathing room, coming from the sink. Very nice hotel for families with kids as well, so take a note if you mind this.

We enjoyed our 6 night stay at Hongkhao village, we had a car so even if it was not in old town it was easy to get to. Also grab is easy to access, staff were great, we had a car a couple mornings with tours and they prepared a take out breakfast, ask the day before. The beds were confortable. We had at Wagana Korean BBQ not far. We recommend. We had a larger room upstairs and we did not have comfortable outdoor seating, it is very minor. There was limited seating close to the pool.

Charming oasis of a hotel. Nice pool in a very cute courtyard/garden. A small hotel that never felt crowded. Breakfast was really nice and served in beautiful surroundings. The staff was very helpful and friendly and made us feel so welcome. It was our honeymoon and the room was beautifully decorated and we even got a cute gift and a handwritten card. Even though it is not the most central location, it was only a short taxi ride to the old town. Hope to come back!

Excellent comfort and amenities. The staff was wonderful and anticipated your every comfort. Tropical garden, peaceful, nice pool, great breakfast! Needed taxis or tuk-tuks to get to the Night Market & temples but many cafes & restaurants within walking distance.

Such a lovely place! The owners are amazing and really go above and beyond to create a great vibe. Our room was very atmospheric and cozy, and the pool area is just excellent. The breakfast was also delicious every morning. At first, we were a bit worried that the hotel was too far away, but the location turned out to be perfect—slightly away from the tourist crowds and very peaceful. You can get everywhere very quickly and cheaply using Bolt or Grab. We’ll definitely be back!

A beautiful oasis in the city. Artwork and gardens everywhere. Small size creates a serene, intimate atmosphere. Wonderful breakfast and staff. The distance from the Old City (not far, perhaps 7 minutes by tuk tuk) was not ideal for us, as we like to be able to walk everywhere easily.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The place was very clean and well kept. Very beautiful in every direction you turned. It was peaceful and relaxing. It felt on the luxurious side with all attention to details around the property, inside the room and the staff. The decor was Thai style with teak wood. Room was spacious, and beautiful. Staff came around and lit mosquito coils at each rooms outside seating area and turned on outside lamps in the evenings. Breakfast area was beautiful and great food. Made to order eggs and fruit and yogurt bowl. Many other options and menu changed the 2 days we were there. Staff always greeted us warmly when walking to and from our room and around property. We look forward to staying here again.

It's our second time staying at Hongkhao and all were just as amazing as we remember from the first time. Room was spacious and comfortable, with a lovely balcony above the swimming pool. Also, there is a cozy coffee shop named Undo Studio that is worthy to visit. Recommending anyone who wants a relaxing and affordable stay in Chiang Mai to give Hongkhao a chance!

A fabulous place — spotless, exceptionally clean, with very friendly staff. The location is convenient, just 10 minutes by car to the old city and about 15 minutes from the airport. Literally nothing

We ordered a room for our 3 children through booking.com. The owner there was reluctant to accept it. In addition, after letting us in they didn’t arrange an extra bed and demanded that our daughter would sleep on the coach with no sheets (“we don’t have sheets that are suitable for this size”).

I love HongKhao Village because it’s an oasis with an excellent pool, rooms and gardens as well as an amazing breakfast selection. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help. The pool is clean and a relief from the heat. I stayed five nights and loved every day there.

The place is homey, exotic, clean and had an excellent breakfast. location away from things though it was stated anyway.
