Nantra Chiangmai Riverfront Hotel

the sweet little hotel was modern and well maintained and offering many styles of breakfast, including your choice of coffee made for you by the wonderful staff. Rooms were great and comfortable! The main downside is parking and the location could be more convenient to shops and night bazaar, but still not too far from those things. The rooms could be larger, but there are a few upgraded ones that are large and look out to the river and gardens.

Nantra is a great little modern hotel close to the heart of Chiang Mai and our go to for a high end stay on a budget. This is our third stay and meets our needs well. The hotel seems new and modern and well kept. My partner noticed the smell of clean linens which made her feel happy! The riverfront view room is the nicest with views of both the courtyard and the riverfront with a decent size room. The street view rooms are fine too, but without the nice view, the rooms are still very nice and quiet, no traffic sound etc. Rooms are clean, modern and big enough for a short stay-not huge rooms but nice with great beds and clean all around. The breakfast is great too, with both Asian and western offerings-the Thai offerings are on point. The staff is very nice; attentive and professional. Also, there's a parking attendant that is very helpful. Next door is an excellent restaurant and night lounge with live music on the weekends too. I highly recommend this sweet, modern boutique hotel! Location could be better, but fine if you're not worried about being in the night bazaar or market. Personally, we liked that it was a little distance from the bustle of the city.

Everyone is very friendly and respectful. Delicious breakfast and coffee. Great location to be away from city noise but very close to walk or take a taxi to all great places. Definitely worth to book the garden side room because it’s very quiet and you get the river view. Management is awesome. Value is great too. The pool is cooler so that was only one thing I didn’t use it but it’s pretty good to jump in on a hot day. I’m Canadian and for me 3 weeks was like being at home definitely going back next time to this hotel Pool was not heated

Breakfast

The manicured parterre garden between the hotel and Ping River is a real oasis. Very peaceful and relaxed. There are riverside restaurants within a short walk.

average breakfast but had some European style Danish cakes which was nice and the coffee as good. My girlfriend enjoyed the thai breakfast on offer. Our stay was ruined because of loud music from a venue next to the hotel, 1st night until 11pm and second night until 12:10pm. We were unable to sleep until the music stopped and as we had early starts each day this was very stress-full. When i booked the room my request was a quite room non smoking which was excepted. I would not stay at this hotel again.

it was pretty clean, right on the river with lovely small garden, fountain and water sounds. The breakfast is nice and tasty It's little bit small place and the room was small. The street is not so atractive

Not centrally located so reliant on taxis, etc. Not walkable area at all. Shower did not really get as hot as we would have liked.

The hotel is still in comparatively good condition considering the fact that a month ago it was inundated with a metre of flood water. The restaurant/ breakfast area was comfortable and the food was good quality. There was still noticable evidence of the flooding but I think that the staff did a wonderful job of cleaning up after the flood. The hotel is centrally located and close to several restaurants. There was a swimming pool but it was small. The rooms in the picture online looked large but the reality was a small room and with the bags of one couple on the floor because of no luggage stands it was very tight moving around. To be honest it was the smallest room that I had experienced whilst traveling throughout Thailand.

Beautiful and relaxing

Beautiful hotel with an amaizing garden and super friendly stuff! The location is sadly not ideal. If you would like to get into the old town or downtown you need to call a taxi that costs around 80 bath. So you have less freedom and you are dependt on transportaiton. The mattresses are way to hard. It was difficult for me to get a normal sleep.

The staff are friendly and very helpful. The breakfast is homemade and so delicious, the garden and outside area with views of the Ping River was lovely every morning. The only issue that stopped 10/10 is the karaoke bar at night. My room happened to be adjacent closest to it. So it's not very quiet and hard to sleep until you get used to it being every night. Some singing is lovely, some not so much. If you need quiet to sleep, maybe ask to change rooms.

My room was near the front of the building even I paid for “river view” rate however I barely had a view of river and the hotel is located close to the restaurant (karaoke) so they will sing karaoke until 11.30 pm except Monday cuz it is closed.

The rooms were clean. Location of the hotel was excellent as it was only about 10 mins to the airport by car. Breakfast was good. Will definitely stay here again.
