Good Nothing

The breakfast was good and the coffee was good too. the Hotel location wasn't in the best location for my purposes. I thought the white wine was rather expensive at $9 AUD per glass in the restaurant.

Poor location

Deliver, a little outside of the center

The room was comfortable and clean I was quite disappointed with my stay. The Breakfast was very poor, the hotel structure feels old and poorly maintained, which doesn’t match the photos or expectations. The facilities clearly need renovation and better care.

Staff Breakfast can have more international variety

Breakfast, location, room, pool. Everything. But I didn't realise until I had left. From here I want to Ibis Nimman Journeyman and realised how good I'd had it at the Mercure. The Ibis was more expensive so I thought it would be better. Everything was brand spanking new but the rooms are tiny, the pool not as nice and the breakfast not as nice either. The location was VERY Expensive. I highly recommend booking into the Mercure and staying there before they renovate and increase the prices. The place was tired, becoming in need of renovation.

Everything was brilliant - staff in particular excellent. Room was spacious (we had an extra wide double bed). Restaurant food was excellent and well priced. Staff in restaurant excellent. Staff at reception excellent. Bed very comfortable! Just dated - this is not the fault of the staff, the owners need to invest to modernise. Very sad to see the hotel so dated. Swimming pools excellent was so cold - anyway to warm it a little?

Breakfast was very good I had a omelette most days which was cooked fresh. I liked the location as I got a good nights sleep and wasn’t fat from the local street food , which even with a shell fish allergy I managed fine. Although a little dated I would return Maybe a little dated but didn’t spoil a thing

There was a wonderful supermarket just next door as well as a Japanese restaurant. I moved rooms to a deluxe room up on the fourth floor and that room got lots of light and had a nice view of the mountain. The bed was huge and very comfy. There was a terrible smell on most of the floors which really was quite offputting. Swimming pool area lacked atmosphere. The swimming pool towels are really very tatty and need replacing. It seems there is a bar at the pool area but it’s not open. In general, the place just needs a renovation. I found that the staff didn’t speak good English and have encountered much better English in much cheaper and lower quality lodgings so far in Thailand I was upgraded to a suite but it was horrible, really old-fashioned and in need of renovation and very dark as it overlooked the pool where there was very little light. I felt the location was too far to walk to most things in the old town and I wouldn’t recommend the location if you want to spend time in the old town as there are plenty of better value options in the old town itself. There was a Starbucks downstairs but it really isn’t a proper Starbucks and the barista didn’t even know what decaf was. It’s basically a glorified coffee machine with a brand name stamp on it.

After cleaning the room, the staff knew we were drinking a lot of water. She left 4 drinking bottles for us. Without asking ....
