We really enjoyed our stay at Pha Thai House! The room was comfortable and clean and we were able to rent a motorcycle from the hotel. Plenty of restaurants nearby and walking distance to a night market and several temples. We were happy to have a pool, though it was so cold, we didn’t swim much. We recommend this hotel in the old town of Chiang Mai! The pool was really cold!

Oh my goodness, I cannot see enough great things about this location and the staff. They are amazing. The building itself was unlike anything we had seen before. It looked like an old monastery, lots of characters and indoor Koi pond. It was full of interesting things to look at and lots of character and we just loved the room which was so beautiful. We had a large king size bed and then two twin beds a beautiful bathroom, a little balcony and all the comforts at home. They had laundry services and if all of that wasn’t enough these wonderful people shipped my son‘s beloved hat that he had forgotten to us at our next location. They have a little pool there and it’s on the side of the street but overall we left it there. The staff were granted it was affordable and the building itself is just so unique and beautiful. A clean and well manicured hotel. The poor could’ve been a little bigger or a little bit more scenic outdoor outdoors, but otherwise nothing to improve

Excellent room and breakfast. The staff were very friendly, we rented mopeds from the hotel which was great and the location was excellent. The Pool area could be improved simply with better furniture.

It felt and looked like a very well presented tradition Thai guest house, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Located inside the old city with a day market, which switches to a street food market at night, a short walk away. The bed was pretty hard, which was a shame because the room looked cosy and comfortable.

The swimming pool was freezing.

Outside the hotel the hustle and bustle of Chang mai begins as soon as you step out. The night food market is close by and everything else, at walking distance. Could be a pro for many!!

Pha Thai house is very centrally located and within walking distance of much of Chiang Mai's old town. The staff were very helpful and kind. My sons and I had a family room which provided the three of us plenty of space. The room and bathroom were both spotlessly clean and the small balcony was lovely to sit on in the mornings and evenings. Breakfast was simple but plentiful and set in a very pleasant open-air area of the building. The pool area was small and near the road/traffic but sufficient for a quick dip to cool off. The mosquitoes were fierce but really only an issue by the pool area. Some bug prevention or even simple coils would have been appreciated.

Our two rooms for my husband and 2 daughters were right next to each other. They were bot nice rooms with a small balcony. The bathroom lighting in the bigger room was excellent which was great for 2 young women. The lighting in our bathroom could have been a little brighter to put on sunscreen etc. The breakfast was very nice. We appreciated that eggs could be made fresh. And the dumplings were amazing. The front desk was very helpful in arranging a driver for a day and transportation to/from the airport. Our only complaint was the noise that a large group of French teenagers made as they entered the hotel around 12:30 a.m.. Of course this could not be helped at the time. However I think the adult leader did talk to the group becasue the next day they were quieter.

No coffee in our room ! We woke up early in the night around 3-4 am and we have no coffee stand by. No lifts to carry our big bags to the third floor. My knees are not in good condition so that made me feel really uncomfortable.

Nicely appointed room. Comfortable and clean. Great location within the Old City of Chiang Mai. Staff are wonderful! Helpful and accommodating. The young woman at the front desk pointed us in the right direction when selecting restaurants and a reputable place for massages. All good.

The grounds and the buildings here are wonderful. Immediate great first impression. The staff were very responsive and helpful. I had a room with a lot of construction going on right behind my room on an adjacent property. The room above me was loud from people walking around due to lack of insulation.

Location Nothing it’s great

The room was big and the location of the hotel is good, a walking distance from the night markets and inside the old city. The room was outdated, the balcony really unusable and so is the pool. We had some ants wondering around the room and the water pressure was on the low side.

This was a comfortable convenient hotel, well located within the old city, with old world charm. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The morning buffet could be more vegan or veg friendly, that would be my only suggestion. We were surprised how quiet the rooms were considering all the families, but we slept great every night. The location and the room was great.

A tropical retreat within a bustling city. Clean, good WiFi, good vibes, staff friendly. Tha Thai House exuded a calming presence with tropical plants in every corner.
