Rarely do I ever write reviews but when a hotel is not only comfortable, conveniently in a prime location to everything and safe with the kindest staff —it’s hard not too. This hotel really felt like a home away from home. And after over a 24 + hour travel day- it truly was such a sanctuary being greeted by all of the lovely staff at Thapae loft. I would just like to start out by saying that this hotel is in a prime location: easily accessible to all your needs: lots of restaurants and temples just a short walk away. The hotel itself was very modern, safe (they have a lovely security guard ) and comfortable. The rooms were very cozy, spacious and the beds were comfortable. The shower was nice as well- water pressure excellent with no complaints. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable with a lot of recommendations. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was to our needs. They even added a priceless memory for me as it was my birthday — the staff surprised me shortly after my check in at my room with cake in which they all joined in to sing “Happy Birthday” to me. Which as someone who has spent many years in Los Angeles celebrating her birthday at Thai Restaurants— this definitely took the cake (pun intended)— what a way to celebrate and greet me for my first time in Thailand. Thank you again to all of the staff. I will never forget it! A beautiful memory forever. Kap Khun Ka ! Nothing to add. I liked everything about this hotel but I can’t really comment on the pool although it looked like it would have been nice to enjoy — I never actually had the time to use it.

This is a unique hotel, all concrete, so it has a bunker like feel about it. The overhead lighting adds to the feeling, as there are no soft lighting options. But it is a decent room with a comfortable bed and pillows in a quiet location, great for one night. Well, the worst part about this hotel was the WiFi was very poor, I ended up using my iPhone as a hotspot, and it still had trouble with the connection, due to the concrete walls and ceiling. I hope this hotel upgrades their WiFi by possibly adding routers at the ends of the hallways, or even in the rooms.

Nothing Solid concrete and no sound barriers so you could hear neighbors both above and below and next to you! Cleaners woke us up every morning while cleaning next rooms over. Location was terrible and very difficult to access.

This boutique hotel is in a prime location in the Old City - minutes away from ThaPae Gate, Wat Chedi Luang (main temple in Chiang Mai) and the main road - but tucked down a quiet side street so the whole place is peaceful. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and made you feel like family. They provided excellent recommendations and helped arrange a driver for one of our tours. Truly a gem of a place.

Both rooms clean and decent size. Provided free water, snacks daily. Quiet area. Smaller property than expected, however, managed very professionally with attentive and friendly staff. Loved that free bikes were available for my family of five to use. Great location close to Sunday night market. Enjoyed local cat Bobo that hung out outside the property! Not really a negative, just an added factor - the property is quarter block down a path vs being directly on a street so it made it harder for Grab, Bolt, and tour pickups to find address. Just communicate with drivers on the apps or WhatsApp and it's fine. The upside is that it was quieter as a result.

Friendly staff, nice room, good location in the old city

Location was within walking distance to all sights in the old city. Close enough to action but far enough away that its quiet. The room was clean and large enough for three (3) adults without feeling crowded. The beds were comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. We extended our stay without any issues or having to move rooms. The pool area was very nice although we didn't use for very long.
