Location is excellent for the Sunday Walking Market - right across the street, but still a very quiet location. "restaruant" at the hotel is more a coffee bar that offers a few sandwhiches as well. Quite a few food choices right outisde the hotel though. We stayed in the "back" building. It was very quiet and comfortable. Don't miss the bagel place around the corner. It was great! Older Woman/Owner (?) was so nice and friendly and very helpful for where we were going, getting us a car, etc. Great place for the walking market, but a little out of the way for other things. Might have preferred to stay closer to the North Gate area. A clean, basic room that was great for the price.

The location of this hotel is perfect if it's your first time in Chiang Mai. Close to everything, yet still quiet. The Sunday Walking Night Market is just there yet we heard no noise in our room from it. The apartment was very spacious and having our own entrance made us feel like we were staying in our own apartment instead of a hotel. The bed was very comfy and the room was cleaned every day. We especially loved the water that was provided daily. Nothing really! I would have preferred if the bed had bedside tables on both sides of the bed instead of up against a wall but that's me being picky. We would absolutely stay here again.

Because my mom is elderly, it wasn’t very convenient for us to stay on the fourth floor, especially since we didn’t know there was no elevator. They also mentioned that rooms are not cleaned every day and that you need to request cleaning a day in advance; however, one morning they entered the room unannounced without knocking. A heads-up would have been appreciated.

The whole hotel smelt of sewage, including AC. The open windows helped in ameliorating the ugly smell. A small sitting area in front of main door is nice to sit with hedge shielding from road. The city is full of European types. Poor lighting, smell all around..

The property was very clean and well kept. The staff were helpful. The breakfast was good. There is no elevator so need to carry your luggage up the stairs. But it would not inhibit from staying at the Sila.

Location! Amazing to just be able to walk out to a million temples, restaurants, massage, laundry, Sunday street fair, you name it - whatever you need is right there. Rooms were always clean and bed very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Nothing
