Puak Taem Boutique Hotel

The beds are fine no complains. The stuff are nice. The bathrooms and shower are in the same room as the beds so the second you get into the room you smell this awful smell and it stays all the day. The cleaning woman comes to clean the room and sprays air purifier but the smell is so strong it doesn’t help. Only for that I will not return. The building doesn’t have en elevator so you need to lift you bags up to 3 floors on your own so take that in mind. The location is not as good as I thought.

The place was very clean The bathroom and toilet are inside the room, also there are bunk beds and if you sleep on the top one you dont have curtains for you privacy

The location is good and at a good price. There was air conditioning in the room itself. I was also able to fit my luggage under the space under the bed. They provide a small locked storage cabinet for you that is large enough for a regular sized backpack and they also stored my luggage securely after I checked out. The curtains in my bunk were in poor shape and sagged so much that it only provided about half cover which is bad for privacy and light exposure. On one day, the air condition was barely on if at all and it got uncomfortably warm in the room.

Unfortunately I was woken both nights by people in the rooms next to me. Sometime decided to play music at 11.30 and shower, one night I heard people having a conversation past midnight. The doors to each room have a slight gap so it means that any noise coming from the hallway or other rooms can easily be heard. This made sleeping difficult.

The single rooms ) didn’t visit the women’s dorms) are. Excellent clean and relatively spacious. The location despite others comments is true Thai with a couple of good local restaurants and close main central. The front desk person was not friendly or helpful. He fought with one customer and didn’t speak English well. There is no charm

Great find. Excellent location - can walk everywhere. New, very clean. Comfortable bed. Wonderful stay and my place for each return visit to Chiang Mai.

Great location in the old city. Near to daily market and the flower show. We liked the property very much.

Nice location, clean and tidy room there is no receptionist after 8pm and if you forget the entrance door card, you must stay outside. The lady boss or noone won't answer your phone and help you to get in.

Quiet and nice area Room was clean and comfortable. Rooms could have a better insulation, it was okay but not amazing No breakfast offered, but there are many options around. There is anyway a fridge, instant coffee and water in the room.

A huge priblem is lack of ventilation in the rooms. Even if you open the door, there is no fresh air since the hotel itself is nor ventilated at all.
