Pai Residence Hotel

The location was perfect, everything was within walking distance, and it was easy to get a tuk-tuk for longer distances. The rooms were comfortable, but could use some TLC... some of the outlets were so loose they were unusable, and there were cracks in the door.

The staff is so accommodating and friendly. The location is amazing and I loved how close the hotel is to the main strip and other attractions. You are a 10 minute walk away from great coffee shops, restaurants, cute boutiques, smoothie places, local convenience stores, 7/11, etc. There is plenty of room to sit outside in the front of the hotel. It would be nice to have more pool chairs. Common areas are well maintained. I liked the pool a lot, it was quiet and relaxing. I would stay here again, but preferably on the top floor. I was given a garden level room and the hotel staff did offer to switch it for me the following day. I did not take them up on the offer, but I wish I did. I know it's an older building, but the smell coming from the bathroom in my room was so bad that I didn’t sleep the first night. I covered the shower drain, shut the toilet, shut the sink, and shut the door. I left a window open for a day, and it helped, but the smell still lingered. My room also did not come with a towel rack or any sort of hook to hang anything. The pool was great, but also could've been a little cleaner. It was better on my first day there than the rest of the 4 days.

Good location and room had everything you need. Found couple of cockroaches in our room.

The size of the rooms are really small and there is not much space to unpack your luggage.

Location was great - few minute walk to walking street and market. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Bedding was clean (although beds very hard and uncomfortable) Pictures are clearly dated as the room we stayed in was in need of repairs/ replacement of fixtures and flooring. Noise from street/ front area (thankfully fairly quiet area) - pool was very green with pieces of algae floating and in between the tiles (no grout) - could not swim in it. Whole establishment needs a facelift. I’m certain there are nicer rooms for same/ better price.

The room is spacious and clean with AC. There was hot water in the shower. Pool is such a bonus. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Location is good for exploring the old city of Chiang Mai.

The location was great, quiet area, and the pool makes it much better. Room was big enough for three people, the staff are very kind, def recommend it. Plus they had lots of brochures with tours and things to visit around the city.

Location, outdoor area. Rooms are tiny, no room to open or keep a suitcase, I don’t know how couples manage. Towels super thin, didn’t dry. Room not serviced in 4 days.

Rooms need a small renovation. Very thin walls you can hear people walking in the rooms above.
