Hyatt Place Chicago-South/University Medical Center

The hotel served it's purpose. We were there for a wedding and it was close by. Hotel was very nice and in the middle of everything. Would come back and also recommend it to anyone who will be staying there.

Wow! What a great experience this was. I love how when I walked in the hotel I immediately saw smiling faces and a poster of President Obama in the corner. It was right on brand for my stay as I was visiting the Obama Presidential Center for the Grand Opening weekend. The breakfast was delicious and I love that we had a space to park at the hotel. This hotel was convenient for my commute in Hyde Park. I will be back. Thank you, staff for your service and kind hospitality!

Secure facility in neat area of town with good shops and restaurants adjacent. Easy parking.

Directions for parking not explained properly,there was no water available for purchase.Breakfast ten out at 8am and not replaced in a timely manner.Pool is too small and we were unable to enjoy it.Front desk was not accommodating.Overall bad experience

Easy to access parking and a good option if you need to stay close to the University of Chicago. Very busy area on weekend nights.

Hyde Park is gorgeous. This hotel respects the neighborhood. Staff is cool, rooms are clean. This is the spot.

Great location, parking garage, breakfast and….. kid friendly!!!! Definitely can’t beat the price!!!!

Downside is parking if you have a car. Approximately $40 a day.

Staff was friendly, water pressure was good, and breakfast was pleasant. That said....the air conditioning in the room wasn't working properly. It was set for 65 when we got there. We bumped it up to 68. That said...the thermostat showed that it was actually 80 for most of the night. Did not sleep well as a result.

The staff was amazing! We only stayed for one night, but the location was perfect. I highly recommend it if you’re planning a trip to Chicago and want to avoid staying downtown. The hotel was convenient, comfortable, and made for a great stay.

Very good location for UChicago, friendly staff, car parking available, a decent hotel Not much really. Price was high for a 3 Star hotel, but all the hotels in Chicago were flying high at the time of stay. Breakfast is standard free breakfast at the Hotels in the US - nothing special.

Great place, great location just wish pool was bigger and easier to use. You have to make a reservation which we didnt know but luckily the people in there let us join the. Its a really small pool though

Hotel starting to show some wear--carpet and sofa in the room were stained, hall light burned out. Room smelled of cigarette smoke. Windows were dirty. Great location however. Breakfast was nice.

When I arrived at the property the staff was so welcoming and kind which made my check in process very pleasant and efficient. When i entered my room was it was clean and due to the weather at a very tolerable chill room temp. I enjoyed my stay and I will return soon.
