I love the staff, the area very quiet and very private. Everything is very close. The cleanest place you will find in Chichén-Itzá The room was very hot and literally took several hours to cool down. It would be nice if the staff can turn the AC on before the guest arrivals. Trust me if the room gets too cold it will get hot in a manner of minutes.

The property grounds were very nice and well groomed. The pool was kept clean and amenites were made available upon request. The room was clean and the A/C worked as expected. Acknowledging, I chose the location, it turned out to be too close to the main street and traffic. As a result, a funeral with a "21" gun salute was an unexpected wake up call one morning. The house parrots kept in the courtyard made it difficult to sleep on another occasion. The first morning, I was woken up by a housekeeper banging on the door, despite the fact I did not put out the "Please clean the room" sign. There was no "Do not disturb" sign provided. Fortunately, the front desk made sure that did not happen again. I verified ahead of time that an attendant would be available to let me into the courtyard parking late at night. On two late night occasions, I found myself locked out of the parking are and the front pedestrian gate. The first time I had yell for someone in the office and managed to wake the night guy who let me in. On the second night, I just broke in on my own.

This hotel is a gem. The vibes are great, the atmosphere is friendly and the premises is inviting. I arrived late at night and it was my first stop in Mexico after 30-hour flights. They checked me in immediately and the room was perfect. They also tried to help me with my luggage when the number combination did not work (I had to do it manually at the end and found out that for some reason one of the three numbers was changed to the next number!). Next morning, I woke up to the beautiful sound of nature and birds. Coffee was great and abundant. Unfortunately, breakfast choices were limited. But there was an Oxxo supermarket next door where you can buy whatever you wish and heat it in the microwave. Water was provided all day from a dispenser. There was also a bank right in front of the hotel where I could change to MXN with no issues. Also, there are at least 2 good restaurants nearby suggested by the hotel. One of which was pure Mexican. Prices were very reasonable too. Check the small shop attached to the premises for souvenirs. It was the best and most reasonably priced place to buy souvenirs in all Mexico. Luckily, I bought some things, but I wish I bought more. I was hesitant because it was my first stop. Chichen Itza was ten minutes by taxi. The taxi price is fixed by the government which was a real relief! Go early to beat the crowds and heat. I suggest hiring a tour guide at the entrance. I did that and found 3 other people to share the tour with. It was informative and concise, and I guess it would be meaningless without it. After the tour, you get to check the place on your own for as long as you wish. My suggestion after Chichen Itza, is to go to Ik kil cenote (few minutes ride) and dip into the cold water after the long day of sightseeing. It was by far the best cenote I went to in Quintana Roo. Enjoy. I wish there were more options for breakfast at the hotel.

Location was terrific for visiting Chichen Itza. The town is a little dumpy, so this place was a pleasant surprise once we made it inside the surprisingly spacious courtyard - couldn’t even smell the chicken barbecue guy next door and the song birds drowned out the street noise. Rooms seemed clean and beds were also pretty comfy for Mexico. Nice perk was the very basic sweet bread and coffee provided in the morning.

My daughter removed some fake nails from her hands, she looked for them when we came back to the room, she was not able to find them, we spoke to the front desk, and no time the receptionist brought them back to me. My daughter was happy!!. Definitely we would choose La casa De Las Lunas again to stay.

The location was right in town and only a short drive to Chichén Itzá. They has secure, on site, parking. No breakfast, but they had coffee and some muffins which was nice. The noise from dogs and birds was a bit much. Not sure you could avoid the noise in any location nearby. We were up at 630am so as long as you like to get up early, it shouldn't be too big of a problem.

Lovely comfortable, compact rooms. Nice outdoor common area. Great location near Chichen Itza, and with an Oxxo right next door for any shopping needs.

As my daughter said, “I thought it was super cute.” Coffee and pastry were excellent! Tall people need to watch their head going into the bathroom!!!

The smell in the room was not Pleasant due to the humidity , the bed is full size, little bit small for two. Wi-Fi is very weak.

Beautiful little stopover for an early visit to Chichen Itza - 5 min drive away. Private parking, cute little pool with a couple of chatty parrots. Lots of restaurants with a few mins walk & great place next door for bbq chicken (but don’t leave it too late or you’ll miss it!)
