Location Confusion about entering after certain hours. Was waiting outside while there was a staff member there confused. I get they were on their break but a little initiative would’ve been nice because we were standing there for five minutes.

Very convenient to Sydney CBD transport and facilities. Even though we didn’t use kitchenette, it would be handy if staying a few days. Within Spice Alley for great street food and The Old Clare Hotel next door offered delicious food, with 20% off if staying at Spice. Had a small half wardrobe but it didn't have hooks for hanging long coats and dresses. Our coffee machine didn't work but they replaced it.

Location Coffee machine The good shower Very high traffic noise all night. Terrible sleep as a result. Also I couldn’t turn off some of the internal lights all night. I had arrived after reception had gone. The next day they said they usually show people the switch panel. This should be a written instruction in the room as she said lots of people can’t work it out.

My parents loved staying here. The location is fantastic – so close to Central Station. The huge king bed was super comfortable, the pillows were great, and everything about the room made for a very cosy stay. Being right in the city centre meant there was quite a bit of street noise, especially at night. My parents understood this is hard for the hotel to control, but it's worth noting for light sleepers.

Fantastic location just a short walk from buses across the road and central train station a 5 minute walk away. Spice Alley has a great food district with lots of great options. The room we chose was so comfortable and we were able to cook and even do our laundry.
