The host had given good instructions on how to collect the keys and she was friendly and informative when I arrived. She showed me to the room, and had already turned the heat on for me too which was lovely. It was clean and tidy with all the things I needed for an overnight stay. I am not used to road noise, and there is a lot of traffic even late at night, so that was disturbing but that might not bother others.

Very convenient location, helpful host with info about the area

Great location and comfortable if somewhat cramped. Remarkably quiet for its location. Thought it was going to be somewhat larger

Key pick up easy. Location was great. Was clean. In need of some updating but price did reflect this. Bed was a bit hard for us and only one pillow, another one each would have been great.

The owner is nice and accomodating, Location wise there is a lot of restaurant along the area the property is clean. Nothing

The host of the property could not have been more welcoming and helpful. I was a late booking due to ending up on crutches and not being able to make the 6 hour journey home. He upgraded my room on arrival to accommodate my immobility, he brought all my bags in, he boiled the kettle for a cup of tea, and he even moved my car to directly in front of my room so I could literally open the boot and pack the car right on my door step! I have never had treatment like that anywhere else before. Definitely recommend him to my friends.

The staff was great and supportive. They helped me with an issue on the car and with an adapter I forgot in the room. Much appreciated. There is no sign from the road, the motel is linked to the previous one. So take note of road number. Furniture is pretty old, but for 1-2 night stay is ok, considering the price. I could not find an air dryer.

The room had a large refridgerator, but a tiny, poorly lit kitchenette. The room was dark and cold, and had no lightswitch near the bed. The bed was poorly placed, with little room between it and the wall, due to a huge chair that should be removed from the room to access shelves, and position the bed better. There was no window to get the sun, and the curtains for the sliding door entry to the room had to be closed all the time for privacy. The shower was too small, and could be replaced with a walk-in shower. The apartment building looked like a shack built in the first half of the 20th century, and an ancient wooden sign at the entrance of the property was rotten and had holes and faded wording. This building needs to be bulldozed.

Single beds were too soft. Kitchen facilities a little lacking

The location is quiet yet convenient to bus services and shopping. I booked a garden apartment but was given a motel room that looked out on the rubbish bins and car park. I was informed of the switch after check-in so that was disappointing (even though it was apparently an upgrade)

It was very easy to find and accessible to most places. Riccarton Westfield is right across the road and within walking distance so we didn't really need to use our car unless we were wanting to go further than the area. Overall, really nice private place! Will be coming back here for sure.
-
Good price It was a room in an old house with very uneven floors - various levels/steps. Had jug, toaster and microwave but not really cooking facilities as advertised. Little bit grubby. Not somewhere youd want to spend much time.

Very good
