So while the checking experience was great. Jasmine was very helpful checking me in due to a late flight that was not scheduled to arrive before 4am and the front desk attendant upon arrival was the great. The next morning day staff was not great. I was told by both the people the night before that it was confirmed for a late checkout at 12pm. We had a graduation at uc in early morning that we to attend. Upon getting back to our room housekeeping was in the room and stated they were doing a service to our room as they had us down for a stay over. We informed her that we would be checking out that day late st 12pm. She immediately apologized and said that she would come.back after that. A short time later the front desk called and stated that check out time was at 11 and that we were late. I then informed them that both people I spoke to last night confirmed a 12pm checkout. They said that was not correct that they were overbooked and could not accommodate. I further stated that I should not be promised something by their staff initially if it was not true. She said she would speak to her manager. As I was getting off the phone, a housekeeping supervisor came by knocking on the door stating that it was past 11am and that it was past check out time and was really rude about it. As I was checking out, I informed the staff about my disappointment in the lack of communication. However they also did not seem to care about my experience and said they would work on that in a tone.

Room not ready on arrival. Stood and watched as over a dozen other customers checked in to their rooms. Entry through the double sets of doors was by welcome desk buzz-in only, unless you already had your room key. You deduce what that implies about the neighborhood. Room-wise, TV wouldn't turn on. Blackout shades were out of their tracks and we fixed them (for free). Otherwise, room was clean and comfortable, although shower had no body wash or shampoo. Breakfast was ok.

Floors wer dirty and had to make several requests to get it cleaned, rxtra towels required multiple requests.

The pool wasn't heated, and the water was a bit murky. When we got up in the morning, we used the stairs to go down to the lobby and there was a huge puddle of water in front of the door, but there wasn't a clear reason it was there.

As soon as we walked in the door, the smell of marijuana was very strong. Upon check-in, we were informed that the water would be turned off at 8 a.m. While I understand that this was due to city works and surprised the hotel as well, there was no communication about this matter before check-in, no offer of compensation, or the opportunity for free cancelation. The room was clean, but the toilet did not refill properly. We had to open the tank and pull up on the fill valve every time. The other guests on our floor were extremely loud with music thumping and yelling until about 12:30. They stopped for a couple hours then at 3 a.m. it all started again even louder, with people in the hall as well, and did not stop until about 5:30-6 a.m. When we came out of our room in the morning, the floor we were on also smelled strongly of marijuana which made me, who is very pregnant feel quite ill. I understand that this is supposed to be more of a budget friendly hotel, but I will happily spend more money next time to stay somewhere else.

Front Desk Staff was super friendly and greeted us every time we walked thru the door. They were quick to solve the only issue we had. Which was only one bath towel for a room occupancy of 4 people. We all used one towel the first night, but the next morning the front desk gave us 3 more and apologized for the inconvenience. Only other thing was there was no hair dryer, so be sure to take your own. We didn’t HAVE to have one so it wasn’t a big deal for us. We felt safe because you had to have a key card to get in the front door or be buzzed in. They breakfast was good too. The staff that prepared the breakfast food was very friendly and helpful. If we visit Cincinnati again, we will stay here again.

Loved the kitchenette updated

The night staff was rude when we checked in. We waited at the door for awhile and she finally came from outside the building. She seemed mad we needed to check in. Morning staff were friendly but there was an altercation with a guest in the lobby that required the police be called.
